Dutch Passion's Blue Moon Shine and Dela Haze

Hello all,

i figured i would keep a journal here for my current grow. bongsmilie

i got some beans from a friend...if they are what he said they were, they are Dutch Passion's feminized Blue Moon Shine (blueberry x kush feminized) and feminized Dela Haze. The haze is supposed to have a slightly mango smell and taste, but still retain that original Haze characteristics.

Im doing these in soil. Right now i just germed 3 of each and have them in 12 oz Solo cups. They are breaking the surface and coming into this world.

Lighting is a 400 watt MH. Grow room is small....4x4x8 about so ill be trying to max it out. :bigjoint:

Ill be using GH nutes...along with some Floralicious Plus and some carbo loader come flowering. Also will add calmag as needed.

Thanks for stopping by my brother! Yea i am very excited about this grow myself. i have heard great things about both of these strains...the Dela Haze is a 75% sativa. I love me them sativa man! :shock:

All the seeds have broken the surface in their 12 oz Solo cups. They are officially sprouts now.

When i pot up from these Solo cups ill be moving on to 2 liter soda bottles with the tops cut off and starting them on prob a 1/4 strength of nutes....maybe another 5-7 days before that happens.

sup dude? and thank you for comin by. yea i am used to having a good amount of space usually for my growing needs...before this i had a 10x15x8 room that i was using and yes i was loving life~! Sucks i am now down to this 4x4x8. Within a year i will be back to my usual status, i am hoping. But hey! all bitchin aside...i am happy to be growing still, or else i would not be puffin much @ all.

so you are an aero guy eh?? i believe in aeroponics...do you have some shots of your setup? i always enjoy checking out other ppls growing styles. i have yet to try aero...i was runnning a hydro ebb n flow system before this with a few 3x3 trays and also did some drip systems. how do you like your aero?

here is a quick update...they are about a week old from seed :leaf:

coming along very nicely i might add...almost all of them have started their 2nd set of leaves. :bigjoint:

ill be potting up soon..prob another 3-4 days before they will go into their new homes which will be 2 liter soda bottles with the tops cut off.

hey bro, thanks for comin by and showin some support! I have had nicer grows but when you need some smoke, you need some smoke! know what i mean?

as far as soil goes im just using some organic potting soil mixed with perlite and vermiculite. Nothing fancy. When the time comes ill be feeding with GH nutrients...the Floranova series. Will also be using Diamond Nector and Floralicious Plus. Maybe some Calmag if needed and of course some carbo loader come flowering. :weed:

I am very excited about these genetics...i have never had either before so it will be a treat! Thanks again! Please, feel free to comment, there is always more to learn.

I've seen some nice Bluemoonshine grows, I'm expecting big things mate. What percentage is your perlite/vermiculite? This should be an exciting grow, keep us updated mate, don't be afraid to ask questions :blsmoke:

my ratio of my mix is about 40% potting soil, 40% perlite, and 20% verm. Does that sound about right to you?

Don't worry bro, ill be updating and commenting here all the time, i am always checking up on my threads and whatnot.

Btw, this is my first ever indoor soil grow so any pointers are welcome! I am usually a hydro guy...ebb n flow to be exact but my space and lighting dont really fit so soil it is.

No problems at all my friend, you should scheck out some links in my signature for some good information or organic growing, the group alone is awealth of information with lots of experienced organics growers like myself. Your soil mix sounds good, will give it plenty of "airiness" for lack of a better word. If you really get bit by soil, and you might, I can give you the recipe I use for my soil plants, works well and has taken time and trial and error to get right. I'll definitely be watching, hope all goes well for you mate. Peace and love

As the plant does, so does the gardener. My mate EKIMRI's signature says it all "As the garden grows, so does the Gardener". Glad to see you're doing well mate, I'll be awaiting the nice growth period just over the hill here :blsmoke:

i like that...thanks dude. when i pot them up this weekend ill be giving them a light 1/8th dosage of nutes...nothin to strong @ all maybe around 200-300 ppm. I just want to get them introduced to the nutes before i start pumpin em up. :leaf:


they are startin to get into full veg mode now..i think it will kick in more after i feed them in a few days.

Anyone know if this is a good mix? I'm using just straight up Fox Farm Ocean Forest and was wondering if I should purchase some Perlite and maybe some worm castings for the mix. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Sounds like a good mix to me my friend, the perlite will give your soil some airiness and the castings are one of my favourite organic additives. Good luck

ill be updating tomorrow sometime with some new pic's. i did a lite feeding of just Flora Grow and Diamond Nectar....ppm was about 300.

they are lovin life. still havnt potted them up but they are getting nice and strong so soon.
