I really like one of them that has been strongest all the way. It is compact with thick buds. I am considering the cloning of it or revegging after harvest. Might reveg all if possible.

This is the best cultivar, frostiest & thickest buds allover. The other two not so much.


Temperature is difficult to control as it gets warmer outside but will be ok. I am curious about the yield, i am thinking 1.5 oz or so.

The best plant is the one that had best drainage so i think all 3 might be good keepers but need transplanting to a better medium.

Ph of the runoff was too high and i flushed again, that was yesterday. I guess i put in too much woodash.

Temperature very unstable dt 19-32 but average 25-27 i think

Each plant has a main cola and 4-6 smaller ones. I think main colas are 5-7 in long and secondary at 1-3.

I am thinking about an oz tops. buds are quite frosty on 2/3 but sugar leaves not frosty much.

I hope the dark plant comes along and makes more crystals, will flush tomorrow.

How much time left do you think they have until harvest window?

Got some more light that i got to manually control, ~100w

I have some serious lamps i could use but it's probably close to maxed out as to what lights can do for them now.

I can't get soil ph down as the ash is apparently not leechable and increased soil ph by measure of 2 to 8.

Apparently it was dialed in from as start as rainwater here is usually 6.5-7, stream water 5.5-6.5 and tap 7, soil was 6.

Since I topdressed 1.5-2 topped tablespoons of ash (0.8 gallon bucket) the soil ph went to ~8, so it has been like this for 10 days or so.

Medium ph is probably lower as long as the soil is wet because i water with 6-6.5 until runoff is ~6.5.

The medium ph has become lower and the ash is losing it's alkaline effect.

I think the yellowing is a bit early but that due to excessive flushing. I think they will be fine and get over the finish line.

Smoked the fallen off yellow leaves but it seems like the plant pulled all the psychoactive stuff out of them and it's little to no point in smoking these.

The dark plant looks better as well, finally started yellowing and bulking up. It has a bit strange growth on a couple budsites and it looks like a foxtail or maybe they aren't filling out right. Anyway i decided to keep the 75watt blue light as side light to bulk up the lower growth.

I plan to chop in ~1-3 weeks.

After reading up on cannabinoids i figured that i strongly dislike the cbn effects. The last time i got my hands on some decent green it looked perfectly ripe as dark pistils and probably amber trichomes but it was somewhat lacking in potency and put me asleep before i could get really high.

Therefore i will chop as soon as i see amber trichomes. Might be as soon as end of week 6 but i will sample and see about it.

I am quite content with this grow and i think that if i get to finish without enemies fucking it up or some other unforseen bs, then it will be much better than i expected, luckboxed with seeds too.

As i understand it plants this small yield ~oz under optimal conditions. I am hoping for ~ 20g from each plant. 20 should last me 1-3 months depending on potency and assuming it isn't weak ass bud, would be stoked with that result.

I liked the buds that i got the seed from but it wasn't amazing, just a medium strong high with little to no sedative effects. Given that it had a few seeds in it i hope these turn out better.

Would like to grow some old school blueberry as that was the best stuff i ever smoked, it was in 2004 and from a coffeeshop in Amster but apparently those seeds are rare & expensive nowadays.

Smoke tested a pinch of bud to see if it's at all worth waiting.

One plant looks great, second is alright and the one with the tallest cola is funky looking and probably isn't going to be very good.

I defoliated the mostly yellow leaves for light penetration & air circulation.

The top parts of the colas seem to be getting ready but there is much more growth occuring underneath the canopy and i think that will come along and they will add on a lot of weight if that occurs.

The lower growth has a lot of trichomes on all the plants so this should be interesting.

Sampled the best looking plant end of day 68.

It looks very nice and very frosty. I don't think there is amber. I pinched a bowl worth and filled 2 chambers on the vape cfl2. Bud looked 30% brown hairs.

Got almost too high like an edible. I like this feeling and will see about starting to partially harvest end of next week.

Definitely top shelf plant i think.

Had a bit of a mess up with light and not sure if maybe +/- 1.5hour too long or too short day or night.

Judging by the size of the nugs and assuming they shrink to 1/3 after drying i think it's ~20-25g on them.

I think the biggest yield limiting factors were losing too many leaves to heat, bad training and flushing.

If i were to do it again i would start training earlier, 2nd true node, i would defoliate but i would also try to keep the leaves for as long as possible to maximize leaf area per m2 to get stronger branches.

Would water so that salt buildup doesn't become an issue and would keep temperature in check. ~20-27 in veg and ~18-25.

Better draining medium, prefertilized soil mix is fine.

Effect at this point that i get stoned, want to lie down and chill but not falling asleep. I believe the cbn being unwanted sedative theory.

This early it is a very clean fully stoned feeling, with a dry mouth, i thinn it's what most would expect in terms of feeling of a good kushy afghan.

Some nugs will be fully dark for pistils and i will pinch that next, eventually should find which is better and start removing more buds to dry.

I will try to reveg the good phenotyps and then top them

I think they are all coming along nicely and it's next to best to next to best smoke i ever had. Very strong stoned feeling but not sedative at all and lasts very long almost like an edible.

Could get too high if hitting this on the bong.

I think they have 2-4 irrigations left before the thc starts degrading much.watering ever 2-3 days.

Also that they got ~20-25g bud on them. Pethaps if i yield max all the then maybe 30 or whatnot.

Replaced 10w bulb with blurple led. 3 watt diodes x7 i guess it runs at lower wattage than 3.

Also the round 25x 3 watt blue as side light, i assume it also runs at 50-60% of the wattage.



Smell is getting too much so carbon filter back on.

2 fans in there. ~200-220watt light total

The weird looking plant made a lot more terpene, can taste banana flavor

I think if i were to do this grow again i would do it very similarly.

10-15L bucket, prefertilized mix, start training at 2nd truenode by bending.

Grow 3-4 plants horizontally, 2 on each side, as 'w' formation to cover the whole print.

Flower seedlings at 14 days, or veg for 4 weeks and top the plants at 3 weeks or as they reach the other side. Veg on 24-0.

Try to max leaf/m2.

I think one could carpet the whole footprint densely with leaf the one one could get 120-160g with enough light 70-77 days for afghan kush type plants.

Nice to improve is white paint instead of mylar for heat reduction.

Flat container for all 4 plants instead of buckets.

Nice bath container underneath the medium for bottom feeding.

Foliar feed more often in late flower.

Pick soil mix ~ 6 ph and ~10/10/10 prefertilized for 3-6 months.

Do a small flush at 6 weeks to remove salts.

Pistils 60-90% dark. Still no ambers. Took some 5gs off already.

They seem to have revegged nicely

Chopped and switched to 24 hour light the same day and keep just 3*10watt light.

Took about a week to see the weird growth.

Took plant out of the pot and it wasn't root bound and didn't fill the pot. I saw some roots at the edges. Therefore the plants should veg longer or be in smaller pots.

For next run i want to try more or less the same training but with 4 plants.
