Just started growing, starting slow in a tent with 5 gallon buckets. my issue is that my well water is testing at high 400s. since I started into my 4th week and increasing my nutrients; my water is 1500 PPM and plants are not doing well. I have been reading about RO? is it possible to put a simple filter set up onto my well water tank? I know this is the issue, PH is good but PPM too high.

Isn't untreated water in DWC a bad idea? If you put an RO filter on the well water tank you're gonna need a big RO filter system. They make units that are just for a single water source like a kitchen sink that are a lot cheaper.

I use the well water to feed my other houseplants and they are flourishing. I may need to get it tested to see whats in it and go from there. thanks.

Your problem is your PPM not the Well water.
After you add your nutes dilute your feed mix down with straight water to 900PPM max and see how you go.

Try diluting your well water with store bought 50/50. After a week see if you can tell the difference. It’s not always just the PPM but what makes that PPM.

Here I was stunned to find out that well water is extremely high here in magnesium. Learned it’s black and clogs filters and smells like absolute hell.

Plants not only weren’t doing good bread yeast won’t even activate in it.
