DWC Bubble bucket first time

Hey, thought id share, comments welcome! these are tomatoes btw. beef stake variety.

Stats:
Age: 5 days
Germinated:rock wool
Seed: Bag
Lights: 4 t5 flurs 120watts
Light Hight: 7.5 inchs
light timer: 24 hour for first 2 weeks.
room temps: 75
water temp:67-70
humidity: dont know yet
PH: 6.5-6.7 (was adjusted with sulfuric acid diluted)
PPM: 200-210(well water started at 120)
Nutes: GH flora nova grow 7-4-10
ec: 0.6
instruments: Blue labs combo meter ppm/ph/temp/ec
(i spilled all my 7.0 cal solution today, can i use the 4.0 solution to calibrate untill i get some more 7.0 cal solution? how much will the meter be off if i only use 4.0??)



Questions for yall.
can i keep them in the 3 inch net pots the whole grow? i will be moving the females into 5 gallon buckets.

dog hair...... its everywhere.... im vacuming and sweeping everyday but some how it gets into the water and on the plants still. so, i know this is bad, what problems will i have?

try putting a fan in there to keep the hairout and i suggest using black tubes cuz the ones you have could produce algae because of the lights.

hell be ok with the blue tubing. i used it and had no problems.

marmarb: basically thats it. but im using 1 liter buckets till i can tell whos female.

UPDATE:
moved the lights closer to the plants about 2 inchs! amazing growth spurt over night. im glad i caught that mistake early.

okay cool im doin my last coco grow and gonna make the switch once this run is done did you connect all buckets to one air pump

yes, make sure you got a strong pump, dont be cheap about it, and dont put multiple airstones in 1 bucket(just adds more work and isnt really going to help), 1 oval airstone in a 5 gallon should do the trick, (correct me if im wrong some one) its not how many airstones ya got or how big they are, its how big ur pump is.

Three 6 inch airstones in each of my reservoirs.. You can never have too many bubbles its just more oxygen...

is a 15o gallon air pump stron enough to run 10 gal pots whats the max that you believe that i can run with just this one pump

some people do, others go 1hour on then 14 minutes off then rinse wash and repeat lol i heard it doesnt matter but id like a second opinion on it

i run the pumps 24/7 and have no problems. i prefer to not risk drowning the roots. not sure if you can not run the pumps in dwc????

That's a good question that my studies haven't found a definitive answer on yet. The general opinion is you can't have enough bubbles, but in my shop I've got a 220v 6.5HP compressor with an 80 gallon tank. I'll bet I could blow the pots right out the top!

What I'd like to know is how wet the bottom of the lids get in a proper system. Alternatively, should the top layer of hydroton ever get damp? In other words, how high should the bubbles push the moisture?

Assuming you 150 pump is 150 gallons per hour, a lot seeem to be rated in liters per minute just to confuse us, lol, you'll have 2.5 gallons of air per minute. One or two buckets?

dont have any buckets i wanna get all the information out of the way first i got some autos and nl that will be done in 6 weeks so once their done than im gonna have this ready or i can just save and buy the 8 site water farm

You should be able to edit your post and delete your pictures. A good guideline for posting material is to never post anything you wouldn't want read back to you in a court of law. Anyway, look at the bottom of your post and click the "Edit Post" button. If that doesn't work, try deleting them from your hosting site (like photobucket).
