DWC day 16 AG day 23 both from seed

whats up RIU? I thought I would post my pics and see what y'all think. In my DWC I have 2 ICE 1 White Widow and 1 White Rhino...the first pic is of the white rhino taken this morning day 16.

the second pic is my AK-48 that I have in my AG. This plant looks amazing, however I cant stand the aerogarden...too shallow of res, the damn pump broke after 3 weeks and you cant really pack them in...oh well I think im gonna turn it into a cloner when this baby is done...how does she look? ak-48 day 23 veg...im thinkin about flowerin on day 30:peace:

nice plants man. where'd you get the seeds? yeah, the AG is gonna be my cloner once i build my dwc. if you call the company and tell them your pump broke, they'll send you a new on asap. their customer service is great!

sweet I will give them a call. They are Nirvana seeds that I got thru buy-dutchseeds. this is the second time I've used them and have mixed results..Im thinking about trying barneys or green house next.

where do you get yours?:peace:

now they are going in a 4-5 gallon from Stealh Hydro....which I thought would be enough room for 4 plants, but its tight. So I have a 18 gallon rubbermaid tub out in the garage that I am going to make into a DWC....

here's the specs and here is what I am thinking...

18 gal rubbermaid tub
lid area 15.5 x 21.5 however with the lip on it the usable area is 19 x 13.5
a little more than 250 sq inches

this is what I cant deciede...should I do 4 10'' net pots or what ever the 2 biggest would be...or...should I use a 6'' net pot and put about 16 or 18? I plan on using a 1000wt MH...but if I cant figure out how to cool it, I will go get a 600 or 400MH..I presently use a 400wt HPS for flower....sorry for rambling...stoned!!:joint::peace:

hey izzo It will get cramped in there depending on the size of ur vegged plants before u go to flower..U could get away with 6 plants from seed in that 18 gallon vegged to about 10-12 inches..Maybe smaller depending on growth size during flower stage.In the first 2 weeks of flower I would deffinetely trim back ur bottom stems and concentrate on Top cola growth.The lower stems dont produce much anyhow..
I just got done putting together a sog tub in an 18 gallon with some help from some insane growers here. The trick to the number of plants u put in each pot is going to come down to cutting size,and directly to flower once U have established good root structure.
Nice idea and keeps everything clean and uniform..I suggest checking out al b fucts threads in the top of the hydro section bro. And look around for some crazy growers to find out more!
Im doing 3/pot in my first tub: STEALTH STYLE

WORD:hump: Im trying to figure out the best yeild...I have seen the SOG and lollipop and Ive seen the trees in a 5 gallon bucket.. I could put one 10'' pot that is made to fit on top of a 5 gallon bucket...or I have these (4 cup/ 32oc) glade cheapo tupermare things that would fit 6 perfectly....any final thoughts? Im heading to wal-mart tonight:peace:

ya dude thats tight as hell...I think what Im gonna do is buy a spare lid so I can have both set ups...I want a tree! never had them get that big...those are some nice lookin buds man!:hump:

dl, what size are your pots? i'm gonna put 5 in my 18 gallon and wanna make sure there's room

Expect tripple growth during flower on some strains.Those are Mostly indica.
They harvested @ Tripple size. I want to see U grow trees. DWC is very simple to do this in. Be carefull what u ask for tho.This system has the tendency to turn into wild jungles.That when I become tarzan like and begin swing from them.

so if i'm gonna be doing dwarfs and mostly indica, i could get away with using 3.75 inch pots? also, would it be good to try and do a SCROG over my tub so the plants stay short? i was planning on topping anyway, but wasn't sure. i wanna double check everything before i go buy a bunch of expensive seeds. also, what strain would you suggest if i want to stay fairly small? like under 6 feet at the most, but i would be more comfortable with 4 ft. or less

Like i said final flower hieght depends on strain but also how long(tall ) they veg. U should be fine growing any strain U want as long as if u pick an indica stay 10-12 inches veg and expect tripple size colas in the end. Im going to sog my indica cuz of the colas. But im starting early on them maybe 7 inches tops then flower.
I have some durban poison which is sativa dominant. I wouldnt sog this because it doesnt yield huge monster colas and only doubles in size.Depends on what kind of thing ur after.

U can ontain an oz/plant and more vegges @ 10-12 inches. On those 2 trees i got a lil over 2 zips. U can still swing from trees in the forest.Then once ur done swinging pound ur fist on ur chest like president kong.

done and done. i'm going to do a northern lights scrog with 5 plants. let em veg till they hit the screen at 12-16 inches and then flower/

what it is? well after talkin about it this morning...I got a wild hair up my ass. Heres what I made

18 Gallon DWC

6 planters (about 5'') they are the 4 cup glade tupperware things, that I slit the sides and put holes in for the roots to grow through.

Im using (2) 18'' bubble curtains

AND


(4) 10'' air stones

I will be using a 1000watt MH to veg

will there be a problem when I flower with my 400watt HPS? wondering if the drop in watts would stunt growth or what not....thanks again guys and tell me what you think of the DWC...I wont actually start it up until my 4 ladies are done flowering.

then I have to pic a strain....it will be (6) of either White Widow, White Rhino or ICE....:weed::joint:

any reccomendations??
