DL, remember this is only my opinion....based on what i have learned....ive been through it all...extreme heat, cold, you name it...chances are ive had it go wrong but honestly the wrong that i do teaches me what is right for me....here we go
my first dwc adventure was great.....7 pounds off of six plants.....now ALOT of you people won't believe all this but i swear it is true....My first 7x7 room with 6-5gallon buckets and 4-600w hps and 1-100w mh my first two weeks were hell....since i had no money left because i spent 5000 dollars on this rooms equipment i had to think ghetto....at the same time it was kinda ballsy but i threw my nuts over my shoulder and went on....first step ventilation....
i build my room in a circle with panda and thumbtacks and staples...one 8" fan for exhaust..my intake was a wide open window that had a mattress slanted in front of it....then i got a box fan cut a hole in the panda next to the bed mattress...
then i made my system recirculating....i put my controller bucket in the next room...just drilled holes in the closet since the rooms were ajoining...i always made sure that the room with the res stayed as cold as i could get it so that it kept the res and controller bucket cool....my water stayed in the 50-60's with this and bottled water that was frozen and put into the controller bucket....i would also wait to top off the water until the temps got a little up..then top it off with ice cold water....
i had to keep my water extremely cold because if people came over i had to shut the bedroom door which was the exhaust...people always complained of my living room being hot
then my room temps would jump from 80-90's to 113 degrees....i did this multiple times...but i learned as long as the roots and water stayed cold the plants didn't mind.....
like i said i don't suggest goin like this...this is just one stupid ass thing i did but the risk paid off....now i got ac gettn water chiller next and they have their own seperate bedroom
