ok everyone I have found A flaw in my setup, and that flaw is noise! Here is what is going on, My grow area is in A 2nd flr loft like setup and it is above A bedroom. I am running 5 DWC buckets and each one of the buckets has A whisper 60 dual outlet y'd down 2 one outlet to the airstone. I have vibrating sound's comming into the bedroom below my room so it will blow my cover! This room is drywall'd and and insulated on the wall's and ceiling and the floor has some thin carpet with out padding. I have put the pumps in A styro foam box and sat that on carpeted peices on the floor, and the buckets all on styrofoam lids and still here A humming sound. So today I went and got some carpet padding from the carpet store and layed that down and it helped but the noise is still there!!!! But this padding is some kind of A felt style not A normal padding for A house. I was thinking that some good padding with the foam in it might help alot more.... Does anyone have some advice for me???

sup man, havnt had a computer to post on for a while, thanks for your comments, im having height issues right now, i had to kinda make my hood go horizontal, which is killing my total lumen output on the plants, but its either this or no growing at all.. take it easy man, the next post i do will be of the harvest, seeya around 4/20!!!:joint::joint::joint:
 
So guy's and gal's I got A problem... So I go up to my room to check the PH in my bucket's and it looked like someone had dumped A bunch of semen on my root's and air stone.. I have been doing some research and from what I am seeing it is A sign of root rot! Any ideas on how I can fix/prevent this from happening again? Does anyone ever add H2O2 to there buckets? If I can't get this taken care of I may move back to my EBB & Flow tray, But I have heard so many good thing's about DWC!! I don't want to give up on this and it maybe A heat issue and I am in the proccess of getting A portable AC for the room! I change my bucket's week to week and A half.

Hey Trouble man shot u a pm bro. Get on it and yes preventative maintenance for my system requires the application of a peroxide in the mix. Ive never had any of these problems to date "KNOCKIN" on wood and i think that has everything to do with it. I go about 2 ml per gallon of perxide each and every res change.
There is a specific name for this and there is a pricey but sure magic potion that will clean up the snot out of ur res.
Be back with the name of the stuff peeps are using and swear by it to get rid of the problem.

I use the cheapy peroxide found at walgreens or cvs man.. Yea i change my bucket once a week and the tubs every 2 weeks.. Sometimes i do partial changes weekly on my tubs for fresh water ehchange.
Yes I add the peroxide every water change.. Ur gonna need to go at least a teaspoon per gallon until thats shits gone.. And probably have to thouroughly clean and change the res a couple times before u get a handle on it. Wish i knew what actually causes that. Probably something they are putting in the water in ur state ive been fortunate enuff not to have problems like that.
 
Hey trouble.... been having a hard time getting RIU all day everytime i click the link it comes up with page not found..
Found it this time and i found the name of that stuff in case the peroxide and RO doesnt work..
Ur gonna need to get some Subculture M and B for it. Man hope it works out for u bro. Been really lucky all this time but keep the peroxide in the mix man.
Especially on seedling man.. U will never see faster healthier root growth as u will with just applying a little peroxide to the mix..
Kills the bad bacteria and also an awesome cheap alternative for an extra oxygen boost as well.
