dirt is cheap but u can get alot of diffrent nutrients that are cheap but a good one is cns17 hydro grow 10 bottle..

Depends on what you are trying to work with. If you are using 5+ gallons of water per plant reservoir, then nutrients will not come cheap. Stick to something like 1-2 gallon for your first go, giving each plant their own reservoir so you have room for experimentation. For the first two weeks, using nothing but water is often suggested. But in the long run you will need nutrients. Ok, it is possible maybe to pull off some sort of grow with a nothing but foliar feeding and water in the reservoir, but even that would require nutrients.
Look at the different nutrient lines at that website and come here and ask what people think about the one you are interested in. Given the amount of members, somebody is likely to be using any of the available lines.
