DWC Hydro Help

K so like i got this package i ordered yesterday and lookin at the size bucket i got im gettin a little worried its a 3 gallon blacked out bucket with lid and it looks wicked proffesional but it doesnt seem to give me alotta root space im wonderin would this be enough or should i move up to 5 gallon also wat shud i do about my pump tubing and cords i dont wanna like butcher this thing also with the expanded clay can i like germ the seeds in rockwool then just bury it in the clay?

You'd be very surprised what sort of yields that are possible with a 3 gallon DWC. Remember, you need to push lots of air in a DWC and I recommend an air pump rated for at least a 30 gallon aquarium with an airstone right underneath the plant.

o n by the way i got a 6 foot box so height isnt really an issue for me plannin on gettin me some dank ass 4 ft rhinos

i've grown rhinos and they have lots of roots I would go upto the 5 gallon bucket.
also get big air stons so they will stay on the bottom.good luck!

Techhead is right on the money. You can veg approx 4-5 inches of plant for every gallon of water and still have enough left for flowering. so start your flowering at 12-16 inches and it should just take up the 3 gallon buckets when its in full flower (3 feet tall or so) and has stopped stretching. As you scale up to bigger plants this rule of thumb I go by doesn't work anymore, a 10 gallon bucket is not going to be enough for a 18 foot tall plant in flower, but for plants under 4 feet it works pretty well.

thanks for the good advice sounds good ill try it out with the 3 then move up to the 5 if i need to but uh about the airstone i got a 6 inch airstone and a bubble curtain tube with weights about 6-8 inches long i noticed the curtain makes bigger bubbles and the stone makes like pop fizz which is better?
