i doubt the colder water would do waht you describe. you could take a gallon of water and put it in the fridge then add the gff and see what happens to be sure.

I'm leaning towards algae, gonna check for light leaks again. The only place light might make it through is down from top of hydroton, I think so ill put the diy net pot lid back on. Took it off because it was keeping medium to wet but that was in my little rez now im in big rez. Hope that's it
