I have been watching videos on making cannabutter and am looking forward to giving it a shot.
Gonna use the trim leaves and smaller buds to make me some butter for some brownies or cookies.
Hopefully I'll get about an 1/2 - 1 oz to add to the mix

Here are a couple pics of the new Extrema sprouts and the El Monstre clone.
Roots are dirty on the clone from moving from soil to DWC
No nutes in the rez. Straight water in the veg and flower rez

Dude I totally agree! The smell is always a huge part of the growing process. Every new strain I grow always smells diferent, the best so far is my little Exodus Cheese plant, shes tiny and smells like DANK mint/menthol. When you get your babies in a jar, the smell will intensify! haha u make me wanna go smell n smoke sum bud :eyesmoke: Keep it up man!

Buds looking very dense and sugary. Like the root shot a lot. Like the amount of bubbles in your fluid a lot. Now here's a hydro guy that gets it. Looks like a clean grow. Props.

I have 5 10 inch blue airstones in there. I wanna put more in there and will have more in there when these are done flowering.
I am gonna readjust a couple of things before putting the new babies in there. The roots look superb on the new sprouts. Very pleased!!
Really looking forward to the next grow in a week or so when they get moved.
I am only gonna do a 4 week veg on them though. As I am going on vacation in August and really need to be finished up with the grow by that time.
I love the way that the buds look. Nice and tight and covered with crystals. I just wish my camera would show the crystals as I see them.
M-scope coming soon though so I'll be able to get some good close ups of trichs. Yumm Yumm!!

I have been looking around at the micropore airstones (supposedly they don't clog).
They are like $50 for the Double XL that I wanted.
Which is not a problem, but some of the reviews I have read said they clog after one grow and people have problems with them.
So, it's easier and cheaper to just buy the cheaper ones and replace them as needed.
At $3 a piece times 6 stones for veg and 6 for flower is still only $40
I'll have a different way to keep them on the bottom of the rez this time though.
I wanna be able to stick my head in the rez water and be able to breathe.
I'm not gonna try it but thats how much oxygen I want in there. Lol

Ah, a grower who speaks my language. Five ten inchers sounds pretty good already, dude. And if Mr. Oxygen (that's me) is saying that, you're doing great on oxy. And you plan to add more? See? You're oxygen insane like me. That's why your buds are so dense, bro.

I use the round bubble disks. They seem to go a little longer than the long aquarium wands. I think the pump I'm using would just bust them to pieces with the pressure force anyway. I keep them to the bottom with airline suction cups stuck to a flat piece of glass (from a photo frame) to weigh them down. But once the root mass gets over them, there's no more coming up for them with or without the suction cups. Will stay away from that fancy micro-stone. I've been tempted myself. The disks are good for me because they have that sturdy plastic base and the air can shoot out in only one direction (up).

I have tried most of the stones out there and the easiest is the blue one and toss then after every grow, the stones can harbour bad shit so toss them 3$ each. Now I have just ordered these

Oxygen Shields are made out a recycled rubber polymer and are designed for years of operation with minimal maintenance. Each Oxygen Shield diffuses air at around 3000 microns or 3 millimeters in diameter. Oxygen Shields come in 5 different sizes and fit up to 70 gallon tanks. The beauty of these manifolds is the low diffusion rate needed to fill the Shield.

  • OS1 is for 10-30 gallon tanks.
  • OS2 is for 20-40 gallon tanks.
  • OS3 is for 40-70 gallon tanks.
  • OS5 is for 5 gallon bucket.

I also use these 9" defusers and they work great and can be cleaned by soaking in bleach.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]FlexAir™ disc diffuser bodies are made of high strength polypropylene with 3/4 ” MNPT connections. Each diffuser has a minimum of 6,600 engineered air release orifices, which is up to 20 percent more than comparable models. The special design of the EPDM membrane, with its engineered thickness taper, results in full utilization of the membrane surface, even at low airflow operations. This results in improved oxygen transfer efficiency, along with maximum operational flexibility. The disc diffuser has an integral “triple” check valve to prevent fluid back flow. Normal airflow range is 0 to 5 cfm. Resistance is about 10” H2O when clean. FlexAir™ disc diffusers in stock have fine bubble EPDM membranes installed and weighs 2 lbs. Made in USA.

I have a stone kinda like that one but I don't use it. It's a 8.5 in Active Aqua round airstone but it humms and vibrates my rez so I choose not to use it.
Maybe 2 of the 4 inch Active Aqua instad of the one.
I have a couple of the cheap blue round disks as well. They work well but they make bigger bubbles than the 10 inch blue ones. Smaller bubbles are better!!
I am using a 70 LPM commercial pump with a 8 way splitter. So that prob has something to do with the bubbles in there..

That looks really good, man. Thanks for the tip.

I have commercial liner pumps 80 watt, 280 watt, and your right smaller bubbles are better to get more DO in there. The one thing you need to watch out for is if you get to much bubble action you could get some element precipitation.

8 weeks of 12/12
Nothing much to update on. Ladies looking & smelling amazing. Hoping my microscope will come in the mail today.
I picked a very small bud off and have it drying out. It looks and smells green so I don't expect much from it.
I wanna see the difference in an 8 week bud and a 9 week bud.
I have no idea what to expect for a yield, but I'm hoping to get between 4-6 oz dry. Anyone wanna guess a weight?

Vegging plants: 1 week old
The roots are looking amazing! The underside of the Extrema leaves are purple.
It may grow out of the leaves but it tells me that it has a purple color in it, so maybe the pruple will show thru as it grows bigger.

Well a good grow for me will yield 8oz per plant. Your plants looks roughly half the size of the ones that I usually grow, so I'm gonna give a gernerous estimate of 8oz dry.
