Final trim going into full on flower, didn't get close to the exposure to the lower bud sites that I wanted from the first attempt.
First step was to readjust all my ties on the main stems to open up the center of the plant that were maybe 2" below and already getting crowded out by the fan leave regrowing in the last 2 days.
Also have my 3 clones in the tent overnight before putting them back on the windowsill. I will see which two are the best and run them on my next grow, very happy with the resilience of this strain!
Yep, the girl looks like having 20+ bud sites within 2" of the canopy. Based on the first few hours of growth I doubt it will even look like I defoliated though
What I'm really excited about is the amount of sites I have with a unique stem, not just bud sites on a single stem. I know the plant looks pretty barren at the moment but I have full faith this will help in such a small space and with such thick vegetative growth I've had in exposing the plant to as much light to the canopy as possible.
This is Friday to lights out Monday and some shots of the buds on the main stems which look to be on track for day 19 of flower.
36 hours post defoliation, great recovery and good isolation of bud sites. Not sure if it will make that much of a difference but any increase in a 2x2 tent I will take.
Clone#1 definitely the strongest so far, was the one with the most developed roots when they were transplanted from rockwool.
Clone 2 had pretty small roots (maybe 1/4") before transplanting but has definitely done well
Clone 3 was taken deep in week 2 of flower and was only 1 or 2 days old when going into coco so very happy it is still alive and is now going back to veg mode.
I'm pretty amazed that plant roared back like it has after that massive defoliation. I honestly thought you might have went to far with it, boy was I wrong. Let's see those buds form!
My first grow was very simile to yours. Started with one of the VS 300's. Week 3 of flowering I added a second. Strain was Silver Widow. You're going to be pretty happy with yourself when you wake up on harvest day. Looking strong .
