You also have water temp to take into consideration. Running lights 24/7 in DWC is a terrible idea IMO.From what I've learned, 18/6, 20/4, 24/0
It doesn't matter.
Its all about DLI, and optimizing that.
There is some argument a few hours of dark is good for a plant though
But DLI really dictates how many hours of light you give.
If you are pushing 650 ppfd with 18 hours of light, thats around 42 DLI and really good number.
But if you went to 24 hours, that would be 56 DLI. Those levels are too high without co2 enrichment and are a waste of light, electricity and money.
Really bleach? Seems a little harsh why not h202?I'm an advocate for running hydro sterile with chlorine using regular household bleach or Pool Shock. 3ppm is good for DWC. Here's a dilution calculator http://www.foodsafe.ca/dilution-calculator.html
I would advice you not using organics in hydro, just a complete plant food in the reservoir is all that is needed. Cheers!
bleach is a lot cheaper?Really bleach? Seems a little harsh why not h202?
Really h202 costs 15$ a bottle lasts literally years once diluted to 3% i dunno how much bleach is but to each his own.bleach is a lot cheaper?
I suppose it depends on how much needs to be treated. I use a combination of both (alternating of course). Isn't chlorine also a descaler?Really h202 costs 15$ a bottle lasts literally years once diluted to 3% i dunno how much bleach is but to each his own.
