Dying Plant...so sad

Hey guys! Thanks for all the great posts and answers. They've helped me out tons with my crop so far.

I have eight GDP plants and one is dying. See pics below.

She's the only one with the problems - the leaf tips blacken and then crisp up. A few buds have done the same.

She's 4 weeks in flower in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil with feedings with Fox Farm nutes an solubles every 3-4 days.

pH shows between 5.8 - 6.5 depending on the spot. Crappy soil testers.......

All help is great and VERY appreciated!! She's my pride & joy lol

Thanks RIU!!!!

Woah. Looks like some sort of disease. I'm really not sure on this one actually.
Wait for someone more...qualified to help you out. Sorry about your babe. Grandaddy is a great strain.

That's what I was starting to think, but none of the other plants show ANY symptoms. They're all happy & healthy.
I'm blaming pH right now, just cuz it's an easier fix than a full-blown disease lol

I just don't know what kind of disease could cause such massive leaf deterioration.

Maybe the weed-reaper just decided she wasn't fit to live....NOOOOOOO!

Anyone else have opinions?

Maybe a Boron or Potassium deficiency? I've just never seen such a quick die-off with a nute deficiency.
(She gets Cal-Mag with her waterings too FYI.)

So, I decided she needs to veg back out. With all her leaf die-off, she needs to get back to 100% before I try to flower again. That sux, but whatever...

Someone said I had spider mites?? I think he's a damn liar (lol) and he's never grown before, but he said that spider mites are arachnids and so some carry bacteria that they spread into the plant with each bite, causing them to flat-out die. Loads of hooie, right? I have never heard of a spider-mite-carried-disease...lol spider mite HIV??

Anyone have any ideas? Anything? It sux to watch a lady die and not know why....

Total noob here, but im leaning towards a disease of sorts. Im assuming they are in the same environs and ligthing/nute schedule. Biggest thing I'd be leary of is, if it can cause troubles for your others. Anyhow, not much help but keep us posted.

Yeah they are in the same light & nute schedule.

The only thing I can say is that I did just change their ferts/nutes from Open Sesame to Beasty Bloomz solubles. Anyone?

I quaranteend her yesterday, and all my other plants are looking really nice so far.
Phatty kolas!!
I have 2 babies (vegging), compared to these mambas, that are also in the same environment and they show zero negative symptoms. I figure the smaller plants would be the most suseptible to any disease, ya know?

Thanks for your help guys! I really appreciate it. I will keep everyone updated.

Happy 420!!!!!! bongsmilie:leaf:bongsmilie :bigjoint::leaf::bigjoint:

What size pots are you using? They look small in the pics but could be an illusion, could be running out of root space

Aphids are known to spread plant disease. Bugs that stick something into the plant (think mosquito) are capable of transporting disease.

I would check the ph runoff as stoner has suggested. Could be nute lockout. Around 6.5 would be ideal in soil.

So I just got done flushing out all my plants...that was fun...
I figure it couldn't hurt. Preventative, ya know?

Now, we pray that she gets better.

My pots are 3 gallon. I thought about roots too, but I just don't think that's whats wrong. I don't have super-huge plants lol.

All my pH readings come out a little low, but not super bad. I'm a horrible person, I do use tap water. My tap water is actually really good as far as pH and chlorine, but I still let it sit out overnight to 24 hours. But I've recently become aware of Calcified Lime. Wouldn't that just eff up my pH tho? Lime won't kill a plant will it? Anyone?

I doubt highly that its nute burn. I know everyone says to use 1/4 of the dose, but I don't. I admit it. I've never had a problem in the past and I go right off the feeding schedule on the FoxFarm website. But, I split 1 gallon ONLY to all my 8 girls. I figure 1/8 of a gallon's potency per plant could never nute burn or lockout my plants. Am I wrong?

She hasn't gotten really any worse, but no better either. I will post new pics of her soon.

Thanks for all the posts guys. You're the ish!

little amazed that you can water 24 gallons of soil with only one gallon of water. i would also wanna say kinda looks like a nute burn. would that plant be smaller than the rest or would there be possiblity that someone hit the pipe a few to many times and may have watered sumthing a little too much? as far as i know using fox farms beastie bloomz at every feeding in flower will be too much, thought you were only supposed to use it twice (or a few more if ur daring). be interested to see how ur watering though. is possible for a lockout due too some of the solids in ur tap water (dont think very possible cause others should show) goodtimez

those damaged leaves wont recover, the new growth should be ok if flushing has corrected the problem. New growth will be stunted and expect this girl to yeild less and take longer to be ready.

now that you have flushed let the pots dry well before watering again and go steady with the nutes.

Ph hits the center of the leaves as well. Terrible nute burn! Remember that sensitivity veries on strain.

EDIT: I see you already flushed her. Good!
Poor girl :(
