Trip to the hardware store for a bolt and some washers? You should be able to find a machine bolt that you can temporarily use.

My black bike with the white forks is like that.All my bikes with thru axles were threads on one end and a cam on the other.

Just a heads-up that you would probably do anyway. Tighten those two clincher screws evenly. They strip.

Problem solved with a quick trip to the hardware store (Shout out to @Laughing Grass).
12x1.5x30 mm capscrew & flatwasher.
Bummer is I needed only about 15mm of threads so the last half hour has been spent "shortening" it with a dremel & cutoff wheel(s). Those things are dainty for that kinda work & I went through at least a dozen - but got her done!
Dinner time now, may take an exploratory ride after a bit.

Literally just got back from a 4 1/2 miler.
This is fun (right up until I hit the first patch of ice).

You have to have a shovel or a hockey stick if your gonna ride on the rink.
More likely end up needing a cast.

Been exploring the neighborhood lately - I'm enjoying it, just don't think I'll ever do the highways like some of these "Bullet proof" folks though.

Awesome! It's all about having fun, no need to go outside your comfort zone. Have you taken it to its max speed yet?
No Max speed necessary so far.
I've gone upwards of 30 mph & that has been enough.
I'm not really much of a Shirley Muldowney anymore.
