e27 led red blue spectrum

Has anybody ever tried lights like the ones on ebay they are e27 screw socket type with like 146 leds in one bulb and red and ble spectrum what's that mean and would they work

e27 socket = screws into an ordinary light bulb socket you have in your house
146 LED = it uses very low wattage LED's, not the best efficiency
Red/Blue spectrum = Probably ~450nm and ~660nm to hit photosynthetic efficiency peaks
would they work = Yes, but to what extent? I recommend saving your money and buying some 2700k LED bulbs from Home Depot. They've got Cree and Philips bulbs for $10-$14 that are a nice value.

Would the screw in led be as good as screw in cfl?

Are we talking about the LED screw-ins that can be bought from Home Depot? If so, yes, they should perform as good, or better.

LED bulbs should handily outperform CFL bulbs of equal wattage. And to a degree, they should also outperform CFL bulbs with the same incandescent equivalent while consuming less energy.

I would steer clear of the e27 ebay leds. I have had a couple of these bulbs and they are just plain terrible. They dont like 18hr light cycles. After a couple of weeks to a month certain section on the panel just stop working. Bumping is on the right track, definitely get some cree/phillips bulbs. There is a thread on here about using the 9w cree bulbs.
