Earliest to clone?

When is the earliest you can clone? And once cloned, I've read that it takes app. 7-10 days for it to root. Can it be forced into flower at that time to find out the sex of their mothers? And how long app. would it take to show sex? (2 weeks?) Trying to find out sexes so I am not wasting time and space on males...

you pretty much got it right. however its hard to get a clone unless you have good branching, some strains to earlier than others, but you'd need at least a 2-3 inch branch to clone, then after rooting you could flower and yes it would take about 2 weeks or more to show sex

Well then I don't know if cloning is a good idea based on my grow box. Say another week I can take a clone. Then it will take at least 3 weeks from taking the clone for me to determine sexes. That will put the mothers/fathers 5-6 weeks into veg and will be too tall for my box... Yah, I don't think I will clone... Oh well..
