I've been considering ordering Early MIsty seeds from Nirvana but after doing some research still have one question, how much dried weed:joint: will come out of an average Early Misty plant?

I've been wondering the same thing... I realize it's been a couple of years since this post, what did you find, toke? Anyone else care to chime in on the pros/cons of Early Misty?

There are to many variables to tell any strains yield...You will just have to grow it out....Good luck!

Shit, I just noticed this thread by searching over google, would've chimed in earlier if I had seen it sooner.

Anyways, I've grown Early Misty from Nirvana a few times, one of which was my first grow with actual strains and not just bagseed.

Overall if I had to rate it, I'd say its a completely distinguishable phenotype out of the 2 that I had gotten from the seeds. Both were bushy, short, dark green leaves, the strain looked totally different from the other 3 I had in the tent.

I am currently about to harvest one of my Early Misty mother plants. After 6.5 weeks of flowering, she already showed a lot of cloudy trichomes, however I do have banana bunches on her possibly due to heat stress.

The first time I grew her, I yielded easily an o per plant in a SoG setup. Off of this motherplant, I'm expecting like at least 2 o's, not sure though. Like others have said countless times, it's hard to determine the yield. My plants were grown in fox farm ocean forest soil and the mother plant was topped so it has 4 main colas on the top.

Essentially, I would suggest this plant to any new grower or even advanced. It is very hardy and forgiving of mistakes, smells pungent, has a unique phenotype, and it tastes very different from other strains I have tried. I believe they are not lying when they say it can finish in as early as 6 weeks, I was seeing a lot of cloudy trichomes by week 6.

Would recommend to anybody. Grows well, yields well, great high, and a good cloner plant too.

Let me know if I missed anything or if you have any other questions about Early Misty and I will try my hardest to answer them.

I love Early Misty! That was my first plant to grow a few years ago because it finishes early and is easy for beginners.
I used a small 1 gallon bucket and flowered after only a week, so I only got 1 oz. But Im sure if I vegged for a month and used a 5 gallon bucket I could have gotten 3 oz dried. I would recommend Early Misty

Have you grown it outdoors? I'd have to agree that it is completely different from anything else I have ever grown... in veg it stays very short and stocky, and it the leaves have the strangest smell... almost like fresh ground pepper or something. Definitely the heaviest Indica varietal I've grown. I've got one indoors that I'm about to harvest (it's at 7 weeks-ish, not the highest yielder I've had, but looks nice and potent)... HOWEVER, I'm about to plant 20 of these things outdoors and devote my entire summer crop to it, and I'm still wondering if anyone has any idea how it yields (comparatively, even)? Glad others are on board with this one, thanks for any help!

Oops, meant to quote this post in my last response... but answers from anyone else (obviously!) equally welcome!

Anyone? How about any early strain? Does anyone know how much an average early variety yields compared to an average regular-term variety? This is, again, outdoors I'm talking about... maybe I should repost in "outdoor growing"...

I wanna do a follow up to this thread and my post.

I found after my last few harvests of Misty, using only one mother plant. That there are actually 2 completely different phenotypes of this plant. One produces large calyxes and has an oddly skunky smell. The other produces tight buds with a tangy sweet smell. I had the second pheno my first time growing, and ever since then have had the more skunky/fluffy phenotype.

One thing that bothered me about the plant was that it seemed to be fluffy and the buds didn't form like other strains I have grown. They were somewhat loose and the amount of leaves compared to buds was somewhat irritating, and made me dread harvesting due to the amount of leaves.

However overall, like I said before, this is a very easy strain to grow, and it requires very little maintenance.

On another note, I am pretty sure Nirvana discontinued the sale of this strain. I'm not going to follow through with my research right now but to my knowledge Nirvana combined their best selling "early" strains to form one main early strain and it looks promising but I have yet to try it, as my next set of strains will be coming from numerous seed banks.

I have not had the chance to grow this plant outdoors, so I could not give you a straight answer as to if it would grow well outdoors. However, it does stay short and bushy, which is a plus for outdoor growing, and it does finish quickly. When it was listed and for sale on Nirvana, it was under the Indoor/Outdoor section if I'm not mistaken, so I'm sure you could start it indoors and then move it outside when you feel it's time. Just my 2 cents.

Once again, let me know if I missed anything.

i'm a first time english-outdoor grower and i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to tend well to my early misty seedlings. They seem to be stretching a bit as i've got them in an incubator tray, inside, by a window but i was wondering: is it worth me buying a small lamp and bulb for this early stage to get them big n strong for the english summer ? i'm hoping to get them out side by the end of may - early june

Any other general advice for the climate would be apreciated

You should check the CFL threads out in the indoor growing folder. Just a couple of inexpensive cfls placed close to your seedlings would help keep them short and stout.

early misty is great outdoors, ive got one on the go at the moment and she is loving it. quite short plants, but mine has a series of colas up and down her. i would say that early misty would do better outdoors because the sun can give its attention to all parts of the plant, instead of just the top and main stem, as growing under lights does. hope this helps : )
