are you letting your soil dry out between waterings?

I ensure the weight of the pot is light and the soil is dry to about 1 inch deep before I water. I then water until I get run off.

Your watering technique needs tuning. You're either letting them get too dry between watering or they're staying soaked way too long...or even both.

I believe I found the issue - Root bound.
