Early sexing question

Iv'e got way to many plants growing from seed and I am trying to early sex them so they have been in 12 12 for 10 days. Some have shown thier little balls but others I still can't tell. Some have what look like little water pitchers. I read somewhere if they do show that water pitcher look they are females.

And, they have stretched. Can I cut them above the 3rd or 4th node? Once I find the females I plan to put them back into veg for anonther 2-3 weeks.

Any advice?

Sounds like you've got it about right. If the water pitchers grow necks they are also boy... top or fim above 3rd or 4th. sure.

Excellent! I thought I read that somewhere. I'll top those girls and use the tops as clones. I wish I had a good camera with a marco lens so I could add in pics.

BTW. I recently had to put some early veg plants back under CFL when my HID died. Guess what? Finally solved the stretch problem. I was moving to HID too early. If I had my plants close enough to HID to prevent stretch then they burned. Branching like crazy without stretch under CFL. I'm always going to keep plants under CFL until 10 or 12 " tall now. Then Big Veg- Flower...
