Earth's first dwc white widow + LA confidential 400w ghetto grow

using jungle juice from advanced nutes, bio root from general organics, big bud from advanced, and flora nectar pineapple rush from general hydroponics(testing it out)

went cheap on this grow using only money i had acquired through my outdoor operation... 400w switchable+ light + hood was $118 due to someone miss labeling it in the store. tote and five gallon setups were under $15 with a little help from my pot headed engineer brother. im guessing we spent a little over $150 on nutes and additives.

plants are officially 3 weeks old today (as in 3 weeks ago they were clones) they are starting their second week of flower today and i am starting to add big bud.

pics were taken monday i believe... lots of little bud formations are forming (i dont think you can see in these pics) and the rootballs are huge

will post a few better pics tonight when the light goes off... the water bottle in the one pic is there to keep that particular plant from falling over, the weight of it + the leaves of the others are causing it to fall to the side.

looking good. a little advise, youre plants are showing a couple of small issues. the clawing of the leaves says your nute level is a little too high and the cupping of the leaves says too much heat. try cutting the nutes by 20-25% and make sure to have a lot of air movement.

when those pics were taken the light was like 6 inches away from the canopy and temp was anywhere from 84 to 91 during the day also i was running about 1800 ppm at the time since then i have moved the light up about a foot and a half (they grow at least 3 inches a day) and lowered the ppm to about 1400 (our tap water comes out at 340 ppm) with the light as high as it is and my fans/air conditioner going temps are now in the 70's

i fucked up my last res change and added a whole lot more nutes than recommended due to fucking up my math, but the fact that my girls not only survived 1800+ ppm but thrived lets me know that they can take a little more than i would have thought... i read somewhere that white widow can suck up insane amounts of nutes


also.. i realize now that i havent even shown the la con but it isnt doing crap. its been in the 5 gal since the beggining of the grow but hasnt grown AT ALL

sounds like you are on top of it. great job. just because a plant can handle 1800-2000+ doesnt mean its better. my yields are better, taste is awesome, and i never go above 1000ppm. plus nute cost is cut.

What are you doing for smell? Just curious because I'm doing a closet grow also. Going with some carbon filter or no filters?

i dont have to worry about smell, my parents actually encourage my growing because it helps out with bills and our neighbors are cool with it. if they dont try and rip me off they don't get buckshot to the groin and they get hooked up with a fat sack around harvest time its a win win for them. ive been growing huge 9 footers in my back yard for years and never had to worry about attracting attention. were just too well known and liked in our neighborhood

some random bud shots at almost week 3 how do you guys think im doing? im a little dissapointed in my bud growth, i expected a little more bud at this stage but i think im just getting over zealous.
