so i just moved to a new place and im having water trouble, the ph out of the tap is 8 and the ppm is between 38-40.....not to bad sounding right???? well heres the problem, it practically kills every plant it touches, i started some seedlings and used tap water with a few drops of ph down of course...just like normal and the poor things would not grow and i lost 11 out of 15 so something is not right, so i bought some distilled water for the last few weeks and the surviving plants are taking off like nobodys buisness, i even did a side by side grow with catnip, the only variable is the water and the ones with tap water have all but died while the bottled water ones are thriving, i have heard about how some water providers are using cloradine or something like that instead of chlorine to keep the water clean and that it does not disolve out of the water by sitting or even boiling and that filters have no effect on it aside from an ro filter i presume, but yeah, is anyone in the east bay having the same problems
