Acting on new information regarding a residence on the 7400 block of Mayfield St. in Eastvale being used for an illegal marijuana grow operation, Riverside County Sheriffs Department officers obtained a search warrant and visited the residence around 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20.

Officers on Eastvale’s Special Enforcement Team discovered the residence was unoccupied and had been modified for the purpose of cultivating and processing marijuana for sales.

They seized 140 marijuana plants, 16 pounds of processed marijuana, packaging material and digital scales. Electricity was being bypassed around the meter, causing a serious fire hazard and resulting in approximately $4,000 a month in stolen electricity.

Not everyone does sea of green any longer. 4-6 plants per light can yield just as much. Just a tad bit saffer on the plant count, don't you think? That house was probably rocking around 20 lights. Or the power company lied about the usage, imagine that
