Today is day one of flowering for me, and I was wondering if it does any harm to the plants if I turn on the lights to check up on them?

Thanks

i wouldn't recomend doing this often.. light during the dark period is a good way to make your girls go hermie on you.. after all your hard work, it would be a sin to f them up now.. get yourself a green filter for a flashlight... the green light will not have a negative effect on the plants during the flowering stage, and you will be safe to go in and check on them during lights out..

yeah.. i definitely wouldn't go in during lights out just to see how much they have grown.. that is just plain silly... don't mean to be offensive or anything, but things like that can definitely wait till lights on, lol.. trust me.. they are gonna stretch like crazy in the first week or two of flower, possibly double or triple in size in two weeks or so... not too bad ehh..
lights during the dark period can confuse plants and make them go all hermy on you.. not what you are looking for i would imagine..
..best of luck, and good luck with your grow, it truely is a fun way to spend four months or so..

Yeah it is kind of dumb to check them just to see if they have grown, but I get paranoid sometimes, like I think the plants will be touching the light or something, and I wake up to them sizziling.. :-(:-( gotta find my happy place i guess:-P

Absolutely, positively DO NOT ever turn on ANY lights around your flowering plants during "dark" time. If you expose your girls to any light more than a decent moons worth, during the 12 hours of dark time, it can easily extend your flowering/maturation time by up to several weeks!! Just visit them during the 12 hours of "light" time and you'll be good to go!!!

Dont turn the lights on when the sun is down so to speak. It creates alot of problems for your plant and can create a hermie. Check on them when the lights are on or get a green light but even that I would not try.
