Easy Ryder 600W journal! pics!!

Hey everyone, welcome to my first grow AND first journal! I have been doing nothing but reading, reading, and reading. now im finally ready to start doing this.

I chose to go with Easy Ryder autoflowers since this will be my first grow. I bought 20 seeds from Attitude, arrived fast and discreet awesome!

4' long 2.5' deep 4.5' high
(Closet lined with mylar)

* 600W HPS air-cooled
* In-line fan
* Carbon filter
* FFOF soil
* FF nutes (grow big,tiger bloom,big bloom)

Temp is a constant 79F and I leave 2 wet towels in the closet for humidity.

Day 1:
All 20 easy ryders succesfuly broke ground and are looking great! I have sandwich bags around the cup to keep humidity in, and they also seem to be working awesome. I have the seedlings 18" away from the light.

Day 5: (today)
Seedlings are looking good! They're almost 2" tall and I can see the 2nd set of true leaves coming in. Some seedlings are drooping though? But then some are very spikey and pointed straight up..
Do you think I'm frying them or mabye under/over watering?

Hey everyone, today is day 6! Everything seems to be going good, I see noticable growth everytime I check on them!

But I noticed that some seedlings are very small compared to their sisters..
It may be because I didn't fill the 2gal bags all the way up for some.. The bags vary from having a 2"-3" that's empty still. So they're about 3/4 full.. Is that ok?

There's only 3 seedlings left that are drooping, the rest are finaly starting to perk up. I'm worried because the 3 that aren't are very small compared to the rest.. idk here's some pics:

Hey buddy. Great looking set up, you went straight in there with a 600 nice. I take it the seeds aren't feminized no? I saw that you plan on using fox farm tiger...from what I have seen from other autoflower grows these can be a lot for them to handle so make sure you take it easy on the dosage. Also because of the weird lifecycle of autos I don't think you will need much of the 'grow big' as it effectively misses out that stage and goes speedily into flowering. All I use on my autos is bat guano and it works great, although I'm staying organic. I just got some Easy Ryders yesterday so will be about a fortnight behind you and will be following your grow.

As for the 3 plants you say are smaller and drooping, if you are doing the same to all seedlings it is probably just genetics that they are smaller...just keep an eye on them but they all look good to me.

If you get a good male/female ration you are looking at a mean amount of bud haha happy days. Have you considered pollinating a small section of one of your girls to get some seeds to save the hassle of getting more for your next grow?

Thanks for the info man! actually, they are all feminized.. So I'm hoping for 20 females and idk something is seriously wrong with those 3 drooping ones.. They are reeeally drooping now like a 90 degree angle.. What could it be?

Do you have a fan blowing directly on them? A fan is meant to mimic the wind and make the stalks grow thinker. You say the ones that are drooping are smaller? So it cant be that they have stretched too far for the lights and collapsed? Looks like you have perlite or vermiculite in your soil so I wouldn't have thought over watering is an issue....maybe hold off watering them and get a fan blowing on them asap. Also you could try supporting the stalks by burying them a little more with soil so they stand up.

Yup, I have a fan on the lowest setting blowing a nice breeze on them, idk I'm just gonna ride it out and let nature take its course.

What I'm most worried about is the soil level of the 2gal grow bags.. They aren't completely full, mabye 3/4 full. Is that gonna cause future root problems or something?

Oh ok. Yeah probably best to just ride it out and see what happens. 20 females haha you are gonna have a good day come harvest. No, 2 gallons is fine for them, iv grown autos very successfully in 1 gallon pots so 3/4 of soil in 2 gallon bags is gonna be fine no doubt. Just means you might have to water them a little more often.

So for a ballpark estimate.. How much would you say I should expect to harvest dry? Remember I'm a first timer and I'm bound to do some things that will unknowingly diminish my yields

No worries buddy as I said we are similar on the time scale so I'll be following your grow. Well, it looks like you have all the right equipment, your packing a 600watt and some decent nutrients...it varies greatly as there have been journals where first time growers have puller over 2oz off each auto! As a rough guide people say expect an Oz off each lady, any more is a bonus any less and something is probably wrong. With 20 of them you can afford a few mistakes but obviously the more grade the better. I think the most likely problem will be something to do with feeding as its easy to over do it, keep an eye on that and you should be golden. Personally I'm happy if I get an Oz off each auto, I guess it depends what your growing for.

Day 7:
Well the girls turned 1 week old today! They're looking good except for a few runts.. Idk here's some pics:







I am really worried about the runts though.. I think they are gonna die to be honest, they feel rooted and everything but they are drooping SO much and just look like shit. Anyone got an idea of what's going on with these ones?

nice setup! Just put a 600w setup in a closet. I have 10 green o matics on day 5. A couple of mine looked droopy like that after a couple of days and I def think it was from putting in to much water before I dropped in the seeds. I didnt water again until today (5 days) and they are looking good. The soil was pretty much dried out today.

Another thing I have my 600mh about 12-15" above mine. How high up is yours?

Anyways, I have my 600W hps about 30" above the pots, does that sound ok?

Well the closer the light the better IMO as long as you can keep the temp <80. I actually moved my closer because I figured I over watered so i would try to get them dry asap. I started on day 1 at 4ft then 3 then 2 now 1ish. Will be first full day at around 1 but no problems from 24". However, take what i say with a grain of salt im a rookie.

Not sure either if the MH conversion I'm running now is cooler than the hps? I'm running ~79 degrees around 12-15"

Hey everyone! Its been a while since I've updated this, half of the girls are on day 18. The other half are on day 13.
Everything seems to be going really well the plants look great and I can see the white female hairs on some of them!

I'm kinda worried though because out of 17 plants, there's 4 that are WAY bigger than all the rest..I put the 4 big ones under the HPS a few days ago.. And I still have the smaller ones under fluorescents. Here's some pics:

today was day 19 for half the girls, the other half are on day 14. some of the lower sets of leaves are looking weird.. like twisting almost and crispy.. but the top sets of the leaves look awesome.

when should i start feeding nutes? i was thinking about it earlier are they ready yet? and if so, what should i feed them?

Looking alright my man. I am a couple days behind you and looking to buy nutes now. Most people agree that because AF skip the veg stage you can move on to just using bloom nutes, lightly at first and then build up to using the same strength as non autos. If I were you I would maybe start to feed them soon. About some of the plants being way bigger, I wouldn't say thats much to worry about as it happens often, the genetics of these babies often create different phonos (or however its spelt) which means you could get different variations of the same strain (like really tall/really bushy etc etc) so its no doubt just due to that.
