Looking for a fast, easy way to process about 15 pounds. I'm not looking for the super-best-quality - more of a middle-ground approach.
Here is what I'm thinking:
- Kill the water to the hydro system a few days before harvest, not enough to wilt the plants.
- Leave the plants in the dark for a day or so.
- Pull the fan leaves, cut into pieces, and run over a trim table.
- Put the pieces into a clothes dryer - run it on low heat for a few minutes every few hours over the coarse of a few days.
- After a week or two in the dryer, stick it into a couple paper bags
This way, you can re-use the flowering room right away, and don't have to screw around hanging all the plants. The weed might get beat up a little more than it needs too, but the agitation should keep wet spots from forming and growing mold.
Be cool if you could use a cycle timer but the dryer (old-school gas dryer) is push-to-start, not sure if it would be possible to convert it to always on.
