I have heard many times before that Bruce lee used to eat cannabis rootsbecause he believed they would make his muscles more flexible and I also heard that the cannabis roots also have pain reliving property's which I find wired beacouse I don't think they contain any cannabanoids. So I just wanted to see what your thoughts are about this and if you have ever thought about consuming the roots. I am in my first grow right now and it's going pretty well, i am actually considering eating the roots after in chop down my plant. I have eaten roots of diffrent plants before because my mom believes it very healthy and I actually like the taste of wet roots now, not fresh out the dirt but clean cold roots I got used to the taste and it tastes very plain but good. What are your thoughts about this I would like to know if any of you ever tried it. Peace and love

Yes Yes Yep! :) ;) """Cannabis is known for its multi-purpose nature. It can be used to make food, fuel, fiber, and medicine. But the root is considered to be a by-product useful only to fiber and only remembered by some as an old folk remedy for arthritis or joint pain (Bott 2008). References were also found stating the roots emetic and cathartic properties (Indian Hemp 2008). The Egyptians, the Greeks and the Tibetan healers, They, like others in ancient societies, depended on restoration. The chief element in restorative creams of early pharmacopoeia was hemp. Hemp root was the active ingredient essential to oils prescribed in both the Aramaic and Hebrew versions of the Old Testament. Hemp root, myrrh, and olive oil preparations were applied topically to alleviate swelling and joint pain, or as salves for burns. For thousands of years cannabis hemp has been used for medicine. Emperor Shen-nung 2000 BC prescribes root as a paste applied to relieve the pain of broken bones and surgery. From there new uses were developed, such as extracting precious oil from seed with a technique still used today. Pressed seeds yielded 20% more oil by weight than other oils and was used for cooking, to fuel lamps, for lubrication, and the pulp was fed to their domesticated animals. Centuries later the uses of hemp and it's root, spread through expanding trade by the Aryans. For India, hemp played an active role in their rituals. 4,000 years of oral traditions and spiritual teachings, the four Vedas were finally recorded in 1400 BC listing hemp as the spirit bhangas. Written as the “reliever of anxiety” (Atharva Veda) noted it as a gift from the Gods. Hemp lowered fevers, eased sleep, relieved dysentery. Only in the last 30 years have we begun to understand why. Over 10,000 scientific papers about cannabis have been published. Still the root of Cannabis sativa L. is the least studied part. It is time to reinstate, the lowly little root back, to it's proper significance as a premium healing herb.""""

JUST FOUND THIS ROOT RECIPE for making a cream!
Ingredients :

A cup of olive oil
3 glasses of water
Cannabis's Roots, the more the best
Natural bee wax
1)Take your cannabis roots and clean them with water take all the soil out and leave just the wait root ,dry them for about 1 week and grind them or cut them into small pieces with a scissor.
2)Take the oil's cup and mix it with the water in a pan,
Add your cannabis roots and mix everything together .Cook it at a slow fire for about 14 hours and keep adding water while it evaporates never live the solution without water.
3) After 14 hours of cooking you strain the liquid to a new clean pan. You squeeze all the juice out of the roots . Leave the solution to rest for a few minutes, you will see the oil levitate on top of the water. Take the pot and put in the friezer for the few hours ,the water will become ice. The oil will be creamy and easy to separate from the water.take a spatula to scrub the oil out into a new glass pot.

I did try once to make butter JUST with the stems, and there was absolutely no physiological or psychological effect that I could see.

But who knows - it may have given me super powers?

The world wold be a much happier place if the hemp industry was allowed to take off all those years ago instead of being squashed by greedy people who preferred lumber and oil to a different renewable resource that they deemed "a gateway drug".

I'd try it all if I grew.

Correction: I will try it all....WHEN I grow...

I often add cannabis leaves to my green juice. You do need a fair amount to get a bit of liquid, it tastes exactly like the smell. Also my chicken eat a lot of old leaves.
A lot of plants roots have properties we wouldnt think they would have. Not a root but with rice, a thai friend washes her hands with rice water everytime she washes rice and she could bend her fingers and wrist almost all the way back.
Id imagine they would man, You might have tempted me to clean a cople of rootballs and juicing them next harvest man.

Yeah I'm saving my roots this time!
Found another RECIPE for Stems (which would probably be good for roots too)............

"""easy way to use your stems is a simple liniment. For this, you need a quart jar with a screw on lid, a quart of 70% rubbing alcohol and another handful of stems.
Process the stems the same way you did to make tea, but cut them down to a size that will fit in the bottom of the jar. Split the stems open, and put them in the jar. Pour the alcohol over the stems and seal the jar. Let it sit somewhere out of the way until the stems sink to the bottom of the jar. This take a few days.
  • Tip: Since this is going to be used on your skin, it is important to use rubbing alcohol that is 70% or less
At this point, you can either remove the stems and strain your liniment into another container or leave them in and use it as is. Some people like to put this in a spray bottle – seems like a great idea.
This liniment can be used on bug bites, bruises, gout, and even zits. It can be used as a skin toner, but, it is important to be careful not to get it in your eyes. It can be applied directly to painful joints for quick relief since our skin has an abundance of cannabinoid receptors. Do not use it on an open wound unless you are prepared for it to sting like crazy.
The combination of alcohol and cannabis creates a concoction that will kill any bacteria. There is evidence that cannabis can even kill MRSA. The anti-inflammatory components in cannabis combined with rubbing alcohol can also provide a delicious cooling sensation while it works to decrease inflammation.""""""

IS this with fresh or dried stems? Does the concentration not mater too much for effectiveness?
