Hi,
I would strongly advise not to put them in.. I read an article this month about starting seeds in rockwool and moving them into any hydro system. Now in this article they became pretty radical about their approach-they paid way more attention to detail than the average grower I am sure. If I were you, I would keep yours plants in rockwool UNTIL their are several roots comming out of the cube, than I would place the cubes on to a rack of some sort. Your rack will be suspened over some water. They ideal is to air prune the roots thats are over growing-the result will be some long lankey roots. Those will get trimed back (by air pruning) and new roots will start to grow twice as vigerious from the seedling. Now u still have the original roots-just died back-and no longer being lanky. And new roots are forming, faster and more vigerious. In realility, u did not loose ANY roots but trigger your plants to produce more roots.
Overall, what is going to happen, your plants will now have many thick roots forming around the rockwool cube and will now beable to utilized the mositer the cube draws with very little chance of drowning. Oh not to mention you have just doubled your roots in a few days..
Now this hold true for all sorts of plants-the same with the marijuwana plant. It sounds a little tecky but it's really not and it does work well...
