It's day 9 and I refilled the resevoir this morning, with way less nutes.

The plants are looking pretty bad compared to before the move. Hopefully, they're just getting settled and will pick up.

If anyone can think of any cheap solutions to my heat problem, I would really appreciate it.

day nine plants veg nutes should be about 500-700 ppm. ph below 6.5.

get an rheostat (the knob you use to turn down lights n stuffadjustable) and turn the fans down a little and lower your light a little you want about 22-36 inches between your lights and the plants canopy (top) also stick your hand on top of the plants (under the light) and if it burns you hand or feels tooooooooooo warm raise the lights 3-4inches.

if its that cold in there then you have lots of room to improve.. heat is the enemy cold is your friend you want it to be 72-77 f in there optimally so less vent or even get a co2 supfor it like the one in a bucket with a pump on top, runs on yeast n sugar.

Alright, it's day 10 of vegging. I messed with the fans a little, turned some on, some off, to find a pretty good balance. It stays around 70 at night, up to 80 during the day. I wonder if I should start topping some of my plants. They're growing pretty tall and I can't let them get too big. I think I'm going to attempt the FIM. Do I need to bend a razor blade for the cut, or what?

I still haven't gotton an ec meter, but my plants are looking healthier than yesterday, guess they just had to get adjusted.

Thanks guys, for any input.

hey you said u had a 1000hps and mh i can see u dont have much room to do this but if you could have them both on through the whole grow you would see a big difference in growth... they love both spectrums at once.

i thought the hps was specifically for flowering, guess that makes sense cause the sun doesnt change its light spectrum on different times of month does it?? haha

For the best results you want to use both from start to finish. Most don't have the luxery of doing so. But if you can BIG DIFFERENCE.

I would use both lights but my grow area is too small, plus the electricity bill would be alot more. It's a good idea and I'll think about it, I just don't think I have the dough for that.

I took some more pics today. Day 15 of veg and plants have grown a shitload. I topped the majority of them 3 days ago using FIM method, don't quite know if it worked yet. Here are some pictures of the topped plants (can any of you tell me if it looks like its going to work?) and all the plants together. Also, I included a picture of the stem of one of the plants. Are those hairs coming off the nodes preflowers, if so what does that mean?

buy you're self a motorized light mover. then you can get it closer. try and find a circular track... that would be a very nice treat for your plants, they will yeild over 50% more.

420, what do you mean when you say get a circular track fan mover? If it's to move the light over all the plants, it wouldn't move much. My grow space is about 3x3x6.5 so I don't know if I could fit two lights in there or put my light on a track.

the reason for it is cause the light is moving and all of the lower brances get light, and this increases your yeild... even if it is moving in a circle in ur small grow area, parts of the plant that dont get very much light will get more, light = bud/growth.

420, I'll look into something like that for my next crop, I'll have more room then, plus I just don't have any money to spare right now.

It's day 16 and the plants are ranging from 10" - 14" in height, all except for the runt which you can see in the lower left corner of the pictures. I'm going to get a new clone to replace it soon, a big one, and then veg the plants for a couple of more days before I go to 12/12. Most of the plants that I topped are looking like theyre about to sprout some new growths, but on a couple of the plants the spot where I FIMed looks like its not gonna grow and the stem just kept growing, ignoring the cut. Maybe I missed the main growth shoot. Other than the runt, the crop looks healthy and ready for 12/12.

I'll post pictures in a couple of days when I get the new clone and when I change to 12/12.

Here are some updated pics. It's day 19 of veg, I'm going to flower them either tomorrow or the day after, when I do I'm going to change the res. and start giving them bloom formula. Pretty much all of the plants are 10-11 inches with a 13 incher and a 8.5 incher. The crappy plant in the front left I'm just going to get rid of. Enjoy.
