Is it not possible to run the Ebb & Grow Monster with more than 12 buckets? Everywhere online it says up to 12 buckets. Why is this?

You can run as many buckets as you want. Just need a larger res than what is supplied.
This is true but i know a way to get more out of it, raise the buckets up 3in and you should get 2 to 3 more buckets,
Yes this will lower your floodline but not a issue. But 13 total is max

I can only add 1 extra bucket? It currently says the max is 12 and you say I can go 2/3 more buckets but 13 max?

Yep by freeing up the water by raiseing the buckets you can add up to three more for a total
Of 13 buckets but you will be adding water to add back the quicker loss of water from plant

50 (or 55?) gallon reservoir with 5 gallon buckets.

Do the math!!!
You can join 2 drums together to make a 100gal+ reservoir and then run more buckets.!

I apologize for coming off so ruse. I know you were trying to help. I already have the system and don't mind it being too big as long as it isn't too small(which in this case, I guess it's both). Its just that my question wasn't regarding the bucket size just the quantity.

Its cool. I'm not butthurt. Dunno if you know but there is a semi dedicated thread we have going on for cap ebb and grow users. Tons of info and a few of us trying various mediums other than hydroton.

If you wanted to add more buckets to the factory 6 x5 gal kit. You could add more of the smaller ones and just have them raised to meet the max fill line. Hope this makes sense.

Excelent info! I'll probably just buy an entire new setup though.

Anyone think I should put a better pump into this system? I currently have a brand new 800GPH ActiveAqua pump that is not in use. Would this do any harm to the system or make anything function in a negative way or would it be a good thing?

anyone have the URL to the CAP E&F users thread...am just getting ready to start mine, but have a ton of issues, like I think the tubing sucks, it came undone on the test run and flooded me..I saw one guy had hard plumbed his w/PVC pipe...I want to learn how to do this myself...along with any other mods that will make it better..
Thank you..
