Ebb n grow flood and drain how many times a day?

I'm using the ebb n grow 12pot system and have been for one week been flooding the pots twice daily every 12hours. Now remember there only one week old I can flood and drain up to 4 times a day. Not sure what to do here and somewere I read 2 times a day till roots come out the bottom then 3 times a day till last month were it's 4 times a day. Does this sound right? I know I'm seeing yellowing light green leaf so tomarrow I'll be picking up hygrozyme to add to the resivor suposed to help take in nutes as well as keep things clean. Can't Waite but that's another thing altogether . What I need to know is what to do with how many times a day should I flood and drain?

sounds like your on the right track you want to water less to get those roots to stretch so 2 times until you get good roots than try for 4 wean you can be ther to watch it that day and if not 3 times till it can Handel it

Cool then as for ppm's I have them at 800 now and am seeing light green small leaf growth and what I read to do is as soon as there all showing roots out the bottom then increase the ppm's so there's even growth ? It looks like this could take some time posibly weeks so I'm alitle confused with this because the nute schedual says to have a ppm of over 1100 after week two? Is this why I'm seeing light color green growth?

Are you sure its not talking about EC instead??

With hydro you want to water as much as possible without over doing it. Some of the extra fast veg growth obtained through hydro is because you can feed more. Rockwool and Hydroton get air to roots very well. With Rockwool you can water every three hours for 15min or every two hours for 10min. Yet, you can get away with watering it every other day no problem. The difference is growth rate.

I have some babies in my veg room in 4" RW cubes. I water every other day. They are barely growing. If I were to put them in my tray and flood 3 or 4 times a day they would be huge by now.

Feed as much as you can without hurting them.

Yes so I walked in today and I'm not sure if it's because of the hygrozyme but there growing !!!!! I did drop the temp to 73 and next resivor I should have it closer to 66 . I did see a bit of brown slime on the heater I think it's the sediment from using foxfarm big bloom. Any way I'm not worryed since I'm geting close to resivor change anyways. The plant look great!!! I'll try and get some pictures later.
