I am currently growing in a Dutch bucket/DWC top feed hydro system. Some of my girls are showing these problems and some have no signs of it. I am stumped because they all get the same treatment. Any advice would be appreciated.

Clay pebbles top feed
Roots always in 2 inches of water
Watering schedule 15min every 2 hours
Res temp 68 degrees
GH trio line up
Ph 6.0
Tap water 34ppm
Res 550 ppm 150 of it being calmag
500watt LEDs 30in from canopy
H2O2 every 5 days
Res change 7 days
Strain purple punch

2.5 mil per gallon of grow micro bloom. From my understanding less is better in dwc. My system is some what of a hybrid. Also using small quantities half strength of diamond nectar, flora blend, armor si, floralicious. Clones 2 and a half weeks old.

Are the purple stems and interveinal discoloring on all of the plants or just the ones that are sagging?

For the most part they all have purple stems, the discoloration on the veins are a hit and miss. Most of my leaf problems are in the middle growth on the fan leaves. Clones

I'm a bit stumped as well. Perhaps a bit of a P def showing on the plants in question. I know that P is best available to the plants from 5.25 to 6.0pH
Because all of the macro and micronutrients are absorbed best at different pH levels, I tend to allow my rez to start at 5.5 and slowly let it rise to 6.5 between dumps.
I'm not that familiar with your system. Is that a recirc type or does it drain to waste? When I ran GH Flora trio my ppm's were always over 1000ppm.

Hey Nor cal,
My guess is you have a bit of lockout going on there!?
Seems you have a lot of cal/mag (nearly 1/3 of your nute strength)
Plus the cal/mag already in your base nutes.....
Too much calcium will lock out magnesium.
The same with too much potassium (usually seen in early to mid flower from excess bloom boosters)
If it were me I’d dump my buckets and make a new solution with reduced cal/mag, if any and see how it goes.
Keep a close eye on ph. Let the ph drift between 5.5 and 6.2 before adjusting.
Are your temps fairly low?

Thanks for the reply guys, yes it's a recirculating system with 75 gal res. Ph has been very stable at 6.0, I usually bring it to 5.8 and adjust at 6.0. I dumped res and added armour si 1mil/gal, 2mil/gal micro and grow, 1 mil/gal bloom and 2 mil/gal calimagic, no other boosters. PPM are at 440. Hydrolife my temps have been getting high 85 during lights on and 76 lights off.

Since dumping the res I have seen some of the problems being corrected. Other then old groth that have some brown leaves they seem very happy. I think it may have been all the other booster or not letting the ph drift to much. I brought it to 5.5 and let it go to 6.4 and now I'll readjust. From reading the plants it seems the ppms are perfect but I feel like they should be around 800?

My experience with using Flora was that the Micro needs to be maintained at a pretty constant dosage and that it contains most of the micro nutes. That part needs to be close to what GH suggests-so I'd bump that up closer to 7.5ml/gal. You vary the proportions of the Veg and Bloom to tailor the NPK from flower to bloom. Ultimately, it will always come back to what the plant is telling you it needs so patience.

Ok good advice. It's hard because there isn't a lot of people that use Dutch/Bato buckets, so I dont have much to refer to for ppms and other things. The closest I can find is a Wilma or rdwc. I will let it run for a day or 2 then add a little bit more micro. So far I've been noticing my ppm staying the same with res water levels dropping each day. So I can only guess that they are eating equal parts of water and food.

Yea, letting the ph drift within a certain targeted range is better for maximum absorption of all your macro and micros.
Constantly adjusting ph is not ideal.
That’s good man, thought you may of had very low lights off temps from the purple stems. Minimising the uptake of potassium. Have you changed your res? Salt build up can reduce uptake of potassium also.
I’d suggest a res change and let ph drift a little.

Hydrolife, yeah I changed the res and only use the 3 part and calimagic, no other booster and have been letting ph go from 5.7 to 6.5 now then adjust back down. Seems to have corrected the issue so far.I think your right with a potassium deficiency. The strain is purple punch GDPxLarry OG maybe that's why it's so purple already? Also do you think it could have been nute burn?

I just read GBAUTOs advice and it’s solid.
I’d bring your ph down to 5.5 (not 5.7)
And the brown tips that curl up are symptoms of potassium deficiency.
Don’t quote me on this, but I’m Pretty sure it can cause lightening between veins much like a magnesium deficiency!?
