A lot of people think this phenomenon is true, and there is a chemical change in certain cannabiniods as it ages...or actually degrades, but really it's kinda an uban legend...
what happens is people try to smoke bud that isn't completely dry yet, and it doesn't have the same kick. This isn't because the psychoactive properties haven't developed, it's because the bud doesn't burn all the way and less cannabiniods are hitting you at once. Once that same bud becomes properly dry, and burns much better, that 'kick' will be there.
Trichs are either clear, cloudy, or amber. If you harvested when most of your trichs were cloudy, and some of them were amber, the product isn't going to get any stronger - it actually degrades over time.
