I understand if you have an edible after eating, it's going to take longer to have an effect, but I'm talking about this generally, even with an empty stomach.
Been smoking for decades and have had edibles before, but past 10 years been buying cannabis gummies, candies and tinctures because my wife can't tolerate smoking. I mostly smoke but ingest cannabis as well maybe once or twice a week for shits and giggles. Maybe years ago I never noticed, or maybe the weed wasn't very strong compared to today's. But it literally takes many hours, both for me and the wife. We'll typically have a gummy/tincture late afternoon. 3 hours later, nothing. Maybe a buzz at 4 hours, but there have been times I did this, went to bed 10-11 o'clock, and woke up like 4 in the morning totally stoned. Is it normal for the body to take that long to process the THC/CBD? Maybe I am not remembering correctly, but in my youth we'd make brownies and get high within an hour or so
