Eff in the a botrytis right before harvest!!!!!

I looked at my plant just a couple moments ago and noticed a couple white spots on the top of my main cola. I shit a brick then got some freshly sterilized scissors and cut that bastard off one inch below the infected area. Im looking at the piece I cut off and it doesn't look like it's imbedded inside the bud but I really can't tell. I have had some problems with leaves drying up and dying on this particular part of the cola. Im worried that it has contaminated my entire cola please someone give me some good advice on this one.

White stuff? Like mold or like balls? Do you have any pics? In either case, if you cut off the affected parts, you're probably fine as long as the rest of the cola looks normal.
