eggs(?) on fan leaves...

hey all,

long time lurking newbie here.

found these tonight. hoping someone can help identify them. googled around, and searched on here, but couldn't find a similar creature. sorry if i missed it.

the plants are indoors and soil-based. only found 'em on 1 of the plants. on several leaves, mainly in clusters. they aren't noticeably moving. just sprayed neem 2 days ago. i realize the photo's not quite in focus so in case you can't tell the offenders are of a yellow/tan/brown color. :-|

Well the good news is they aren't spider mite eggs.
Apart from that I would remove them with a damp cloth, even though you have used neem oil already.
Have you noticed any bugs around your grow area?
Sorry I can't be more helpful but an entomologist I am not.:peace:

I may be way off here and forgive me if i'm wrong... the pictures out of focus but that size and shape, and yellow/brown could possibly be aphids. I'm not positive, but would like to help you out. either way, the neem oil was a good start, i personally use a squirt bottle of water and a few drops of dawn dish soap and spray em before the lights go off. works for aphids and spider mites (or has for me in the past) goodluck with the grow!

aphets. spray with neem or a light soap mixture, rince off after a few mins. or wipe off with cloth. got them also, sprayed but nobody told me to rince. lost alot of leafs and almost lost my plants. good luck.

thx fellas!

granted i'm new to growing but it's amazing how adamant these potential threats (like aphids) are. i've been spraying a lot of neem lately because the original growing space wasn't well ventilated and gave way to powdery mildew (have since found out about milk). yet these aphids still came around!

is there anything environment-wise that i should be doing to minimize my risk to these guys? or is it just a "shit happens" sort of thing? today i replaced the fixed fan with an oscillating fan and have it blowing more directly on the plants now hoping that the bugs will find the wind uncomfortable...good idea?

I don't grow inside so I probably don't know much but I wouldn't be spraying my plants at lights out unless you are making sure that everything has dried well before they are turned off. Standing water on leaves in a close enviroment is a sure way to invite many unwanted problems like powder mild, fungus and other evils. Just a thought, hope it helps.

You have to spray at lights out with indoor grows, the water droplets coupled with the HID lighting will cause more problems than what you have suggested.
As you said, you don't grow indoors and don't know much, well, then don't give advice.:hump:
