Someone good @ math want to help me with my electric bill.

2 600w hps so 1200w @ Avg. cost per kWh: $0.17

for 12/12 for 30 days = $73.44

my bill is at least 400 every month... don't stress what your bill is gonna be because if you care what it might be you'll probably produce enough to cover the cost.

I am sure I will be saving my moneys worth, im just wondering if it may be suspicious to bump my bill from 50-70$ to about 170-200$.

@ a RAGING $.17, my bill is going to increase 120 for 2 600 watts...

My bill is going to run from 62-120$ a month depending on if I run both 600 watts during veg.

Although legal, I could really do without the visit, do you think it is suspicious for my bill to go from 50$ to 170$? :X

Mine is $0.574/kwh. I didn't realize the cost of power was so much higher elsewhere. You in the US?

Jumping your bill from $50-$170 a month is not suspicious if you pay your bill on time every month. The electricity company doesnt look or care how much electricity you use or the cycles that you use it providing you pay the bill. The average home uses 900-1000 kwh/ month which you should be under so dont worry. In the unlikely event that anyone asks about the power increase its simply because you got an old freezer and fridge in the basement that you finally plugged in.
If the police suspect you enough to inquire to the electricity company about your usage you are caught anyways from another source. If you pay your bills on time & dont steal electricity the company doesnt care, the more you use the more they get paid so the happier they are. The only time they will alert authorities is if you dont pay or they suspect you are stealing power.

I know in Pennsylvania they are deregulating the power industry in the next few years. They say power costs will double or even triple. Greedy fucks.

You also want to look at the total amount of elec used for the billing period, I say this because you are allowed (x) kwh/pd/pm and once you go over that the amount it goes up and up, I was looking a bill just the other day and there was .11, .14, .21, .34, and .41(wow). I don't know if this is only where I live or every where.

I pay .06c KWh CDN tier 1 and it jumps to a whopping .07c per Kwh for tier 2 after a certain amount of Kwh, but thats the highest it gets.

i pay $7.92 for the first 100 kw used and $0.0592 per kw after. seems to me like im getting a better deal than most people
