Hello riu

I have a few grows under my belt, but have always just got on with growing without thinking what if something went wrong, my situation has changed to a point that I want to know every risk before jumping in again, I am in the UK, and want to stay under the radar, can I get caught from my electric usage alone? No one else knows, heat and smell are dealt with, and no one will be coming in my home, I'm not running much, just a 400w hps, exhaust fan, intake fan, and a clip on fan.. If there are any UK growers I would very much appreciate input, but I am thankful to everyone who may know a little or just have a opinion

Electric usage was a problem years ago. With all the electric gobbling appliances people use today, not really a problem....unless you have a smart meter.

Running same setup. Think it's estimated around an extra £15 or so a month but I'm not 100% on that as I've had different estimates when using the online calculators lol. Would say this time of year it would defiantly not raise any suspicion as people use electric blankets and have heaters on more etc etc.

My thoughts in general though are are that unless it's increased a ridiculous amount they won't notice. The only other way they would look into if it is the police already suspected you and enquired with electricity suppliers.

If someone was paying you more money(using more electric) would you complain? Haha but seriously, they're not the police so why would they care if you're choosing to pay them more. They prolly love pot growers

Nah don't worry mate. I have a smart meter. If I crank my gaming desktop pc and run something like gta 5 in 4k my entire setup uses about 750-800w. With my 600w hps running and a few fans, I use slightly less than that :bigjoint:

Thanks, I think it's mainly being paranoid, but that is what keeps us out of prison 90% of the time haha
