Electric Es300 in a 4 x 4?

Yes. It’s fine to run one ES300 for veg in a 4x4. When you flip to flower, you should add a second ES300 to your 4x4 tent.

I think the electric sky uses lenses: if youre vegging a 4x4 might be a good idea to remove them (if possible) in order to get better spread: the form factor of the es300 is more geared towards 4x2
What do you mean remove them? Take the plants out?
I don’t think I’d want to go messing with the lenses. Aren’t the lenses on the light to give better penetration and spread?

Lenses would concentrate the light to right under the light give less spread. Im not sure if they are removeable, i wouldnt do it unless its part of the spec.

They are also good for protecting the leds 
The spectrum on the es300 is quite flower centric, you might get a bit of stretch with them. There is very little info on this forum on these lights, some go poopoo on them for being a bit less efficient than hlg and the likes.
Personally i think they would flower quite fine; they do a red enhanced spectrum thru white phosphor diodes, similar to a high cri chip, and from what ive seen from @Prawn Connery s boards in a offsite side by side its a really good ticket for flower. Op, please post your grow, a loot of peoople wanna see this light in actioon.

. My hygrometer got cooked, and all you could smell was a vaped or cooked cannabis smell.
My most recent run ended up getting infected with spider mites from a clone a friend had given me. Plants still thrived under the light even with the stress of the spider mites.
As for stretching, you’re absolutely right about that. This picture is week 3 of flower, plants had already tripled in size by then. They were grown in soil, without any nutes, except a bit of calmag for the clones when they first were transplanted.
Overall I’m happy with the ES300’s The lights that they replaced consumed approximately the same amount of power, but produced much more heat, and were cheap LED’s. I just wasn’t able to achieve the results I wanted. I can also tone down the light intensity with the ES300’s. I found good results with running two of them at 50% output for veg on an 18-6, and 100% output for flower on a 12-12. I’m excited to see what improvements and advancements will be made in the coming years. I have a few years under my belt now, however there is always much more to learn. I would not consider myself to be an expert grower.
I have some ES300 lights. I’m happy with them. I’ve only had 3 runs with them so far, and everything is turning out well underneath them. My second run was turning out to be my best. I had 4 autos going, unfortunately only two barely survived. The plants ended up getting cooked from heat. Somebody ended up messing with my setup, and removed all of my exhausts from going outside, to back into the grow room in the hottest part of summer, yes they did have intentions to burn my house down, no they have not been welcomed back into my house.
