How much did that cost you?
A friend of mine just had someone upgrade his electric for a real old set up.
It ran him about $1200.
it was $400 installed with the panel and he ran 1 40amp 220 line for me for my flip box, i allready had the 10/3 wire for this.
also im not sure what he got and what the electical company got but they had to come out to,
but now i have a safe brand new 200amp panel just for my grow area

I want something like frank's setup but don't know where to find a trustworthy electrician

the 50A breaker the subpanel runs from has two poles on it but I only used one. does this mean I can just connect the extra pole on the breaker (I am using a service line cable I picked up from lowes that has a ground, a black cable, black/white stripe cable and black/red stripe cable, I haven't used the fourth cable in the bundle) and I will have 220V?

the red black, and black are the power legs. the white stripe is the common, and the bare wire is the ground.
hook up the red, black, and bare for 240. hook one leg(black or red), the white(common), and bare for 120 volt.
both voltages only use three conductors, but it takes four to make both.2 120v legs, a common, and ground.
