Calling on all my fellow 4 (1000 watt) HPS growers out of their garage and Electricians who understand the business.

I have a 3 car garage and using one section for my grow tent thats 8x10. Home is brand new built 200 amp circuit for home.
How can I successfully run
4(1000 Watt HPS light
AC unit
Carbon Fan?
I want the safest way possible but not trying to spend 1k on electrician.

How far is the panel from the garage? How difficult to run the wire from the panel to the garage?

If the panel is in the garage just add a circuit for lighting, 30 amp 240 volt and any 120 volt circuits you need for other stuff. I would run a dedicated feed for the AC and another feed for the fans and other smalls.

If your panel is farther away then I would pull a sub panel to the garage.

If you don't know about electrical work then you should buff up on it or just be safe and hire someone that knows whats up.

You could hire a sparky to pull the "welder receptacle" as @ToFarGone mentioned and then swap the receptacle out for a subpanel after he leaves lol.

I couldn't make progress on my grow until my wife became my ex wife. :wall: Then things started rolling. Talk about a money pit, that woman could turn a $100 in to a $10 faster than you can blink an eye. lol

Not comparing my situation to yours at all, just made me think of that from my past.
Its the damnedest thing ever she wants me producing X amount to make this amount and says but do it with 1000 bucks lol. Lady has no idea wt INVESTMENT is hahahaha

My theory is you gotta spend money to make money. If you keep reinvesting and doubling things up each harvest you get somewhere but with my ex I would be lucky to pay the bills. Fucking credit cards lol.

Yea Im no electrician but some of these guys have the audacity to say 1200 bucks for few hrs of work is crazy as hell. So pretty much nothing over 500 is firm on my end. Im in Northern Cal
Yeah I used to work as a sparky and to run a receptacle to plug that into isn't hard or costly unless the wire run is long or difficult. If they have to go through something that makes it require drywall repair then costs climb.

If you can follow basic safety rules like working with right hand only in the panel and never have the other hand on something like a grounded conduit or panel housing then you can do this work yourself.

Well how are you going to run the wire is first. This determines some shit. You want to enter the panel properly through a knockout. Pics of the situation would help a ton.

Hahaha. I don't even know how much I've got in it anymore, (thanks a lot Renfro for helping me to spend even more, lol), but it's gotta be getting close to 6k now. My wife actually smokes our trim until it's gone. I just gave her the last of the Green Crack shake. When the shake is gone, she gets the nugs. She doesn't mind and doesn't have the tolerance I do. Plus the shake tastes pretty good with a desktop vape. All I can say is I've spent a lot more than I planned on, but she actually brings home the paycheck, lol.
