Electricity outage - theories and experiences

Now most probably this happened to some of you and not to others. So please share with us what the best thing to do when an electricity outage occurs - expected or unexpected.

Now my case is of the expected outage. In a week or so I'll have a 5 hour gap for maintenance. For sure this will stress the plants - but how much really? Is it better just to let it go or should I readjust all the timers in order to compensate and thus change the whole cycle of day and night?
And how about feeding and watering during an unexpected night time? What is the best way to minimize stress to the plants in such a situation?

Thanks!

You can put some battery powered lanterns in there to keep them on schedule, it won't provide much energy, but at least your plants will think it's daytime.

LOL, my biggest problem with outages (wife got a new vacuum, trips the breaker daily) is that I forget to adjust my timer and compensate for the losses. Next thing I know, 12/12 has shifted by an hour. No biggie. :leaf:

Well I've got two spot camps lights... Maybe they'll think there's a solar eclipse or smthng....
Anyway this grow is all AFs so I wouldn't think it would be an issue really.
