Elemi Oil - Anyone ever try it ?

Tonight I read up on a psychedelic I'd never heard of: elemi oil. The effects are supposed to be similar to a weak dose of mescaline and last 4-6 hours. Elemi oil doesn't seem to be extremely popular due to the fact I don't think that many people know of the potential it has. Due to it's lack of popularity, many of the reviews I read varied in effects slightly. All the reading I did persuaded me to buy a vial tonight online.

So my question is, has anyone on here tried it ? What is the duration and what would what would be a good dose ranges from a scale of low to high ?

Any help would be much appreciated :]

Yeah I have. I did 18 drops 0.5ml (428mg) in a medium glass of milk mixed with Honey. It works better with Honey and milk. It was bit like an Acid come up with some nice mild Mescaline effects. There were sparkles and bits of bright patterns that I could see throught out the room. Pretty nice body high nothing too intense tho. It was a pretty good mood lifter although I must say next time when if I take it I would do a lot more.

I seriously doubt it's actually psychoactive. Structurally it is to 3,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine what safrole is to MDMA. Unless your body is tacking on an amine it's not going to be active.

Sorry to inform you but you are very wrong. It indeed does have psychedelic values. Don't say it's not possible until you actually try it.

Elemicin is also the active component of nutmeg. While nutmeg is psychoactive in large quantities, it is far from what could be described as recreational.

Thanks for all the feedback guys !! It's much appreciated :D It's on it's way in the mail as we speak. Whenever it finally comes I'll let you know how it turned out for me. From the descriptions I hear from you all, I think anywhere from 15-30 drops seems like a good place to start.

Yea but if it was like nutmeg I don't think they would say they had enjoyed it because nutmeg is not enjoyable at all.

That is very true. Nutmeg tastes like a combination of dirt and eucalyptus, and it's effects are very weak (if present for all.) From what's been described to me this should be way better. Anyone that's tried nutmeg knows it doesn't come close to a good joint, let alone something like mescaline. I'm fucking eager for this now !! lol

May I point out these quotes (stolen from here)

Elemi oil contains about 4% elemicin. Elemicin is nearly identical in structure to both TMA and mescaline. It also occurs in nutmeg along with higher amounts of myristicin (which is generally undesirable). Elemi oil contains no myristicin and is very different chemically from nutmeg

Why Elemi Oil does not work for many people:
CYP1A2 is an enzyme in the human body that is primarily responsible for inactivating elemicin. German chamomile tea greatly inhibits CYP1A2. Some people have high amounts of CYP1A2 and will not easily get effects from elemicin. If taken with German chamomile tea at 5+ grams, this problem is fixed.
