another name for molasses is treacle(thats what we call it in britain) its just pure raw liquid sugar and fires ur plant with a carbohydrate boost, works afuckin treat and it adds a beautiful sweet smokey taste to your dried weed, its a black and sticky substance so when ur mixing it use boiling water to dissolve it before adding to your normal feeding/watering routine, btw its dirt cheap to buy. whats the strain your growing btw Bagz?
@widow, thats a fuckin nice lookin bud mate, what strain is it? its as frosty as a snowmans scrotum!

I have no idea what the strain is sorry man. Just bag seed. Thanks for the compliments though. It has been a fun process. This Molassis sounds like the business. Would it be in any normal garden store?

no, mate its not a gardening product its a home bakeing product, your grandmother would use it when make scones. you'll find it in the same shopping aisle as say flour, baking powder, yeast etc. it comes in a metal tin over here but may be in plastic bottles and it only costs around £1 for a 500 ml tin in the uk.

Hey Guys, Just went and brought a tin of Lyle's Black Treacle. Made from cane Molasses. Should help dense my girls up. Added a small table spoon to 1.5 litres and gave them a dose.

Any other advise on hurrying along the final weeks of flowering or steps to improve the quantity or quality of the yield? This stage is all new to me.

hi, it looks like those my be heavy sativa influenced plants and have a ways to go. they seem to still be producing "white hairs" as everyone calls them...they have to re-tract and begin turning reddish-brown and it doesn't appear that your trichomes are manifesting yet. You could have another four weeks or so to go. good luck. shann

thats a sativa haze skunk cross and its a 10 week strain, you should be feeding her 800 ppm for the next week and then flushing her till she reaches 10 some maybe even go 11. \this is the time she will gain weight , and lots of it .molasses is raw sugar, it increases the brix percentage inside ur plant, feed throughout the feeding schedule at a rate teaspoon per gallon or 4 liters.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the feedback. The link from YoungMoola was an interesting read and I know the flowering period should be waited out to the very end, however I am moving out in three weeks and need to hurry this along. So harvest may be slightly premature.

Hectorius and Shannonball, 10 points each for identifying the strain. No one else has had opinions on the strain of these plants and I have no idea, so It's good to see you guys identify it as a sativa, and as a skunk haze cross. I hope that your thoughts are on the money Hectorius, if it an 11 week strain it will be perfect. I assume you and Shannonball have had experience growing a strain like mine? It would be good if you guys could follow my journal and throw you 20c worth in. You both seem switched on.
And thanks Goldenganja and Hectorius for the feeding info. I will get a mix of budzilla and molasses/treacle going for the next two weeks then flush with molasses and water.
This should be good. It will be a close call, but I think it will be ready. Final cut down date will be around the 29th/30th.
Keep the input coming team. Much appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the points. If you can wait until the last possible moment to chop her down then get her to you new place ASAP and let it hang for a few days she'll continue to ripen and that will help a
little. We love western winds as our favorite sativa along with opium from paradise seeds and some others from DNA genetics. good luck and hope it works out for you.

Hello again Shannonball. Thanks for your help. The chopping will be left as late as I can, and I think I will have to throw the bud, fresh chopped nto an air tight container for 6 or so hours while I travel across the country. After then they will be taken out and dried properly. Will this effect at all? I have had no experience at this stage yet so the whole curing after drying stage will all be new to me. Thanks for the kind words and nice photo. It's a shame it has to be rushed at the most important time

JoeCa1i Thanks for dropping by. I think you are right however it is time I do not have unfortunately. I wan't to get my hands on some short flowering indica strain next time around.

Right, some pics of their progress. They have just ticked over day 67, they are loving the molasses, thanks guys for your help. And I have knocked the light cycle back to 11 on 13 off to try and push them along. i am not to fussed about yield quantity. Just get them ready to harvest.

Anyway, heres some pics. Please keep the advise coming, it has been more than helpful.

i think they will be find. make sure that you allow some air into whatever you pack those into for your trip. just a few hours can create a lot of moisture and you don't want that...mold can start pretty quickly. i'm sure these will be fine and smoke just great. good luck. shann

Thanks Shann, Good plan. I will cut 24 hours before my trip to get some try time in before they get sealed up. Hope by then the pistils will have turned red and retracted. Hoping for the best. It would be magic if they were mature. Thanks again for the best wishes. I will let you know how the drying curing and smoking goes. Exciting times.
