ya but if i buy seeds and thwy dont turn out at end weeks wouldnt you think i wouod go to a different company? this is still such a small industry where they can do it right and they are just using old practices
There are sooo many variables in how long plants take to grow and ripen. Which makes its easy for breeders to claim whatever time they want with no recourse. All they have to say is it grew that fast for them. Some breeders get real butt hurt if you try to even question the quality of their genetics or validity of their claims.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that the breeder flower times are usually much more accurate if you actually count from when flowering begins instead of counting from the 12/12 light flip. It can take weeks for plants to transition from veg to flower. This is a biological period of growth, called the “transition period” “budding phase” or sometimes the “pre-flower period”. That period can become longer if the plant is less mature or the environment is out of wack.
I stoped counting days or weeks years ago. There isn’t any major reason to count. While it can be helpful for note keeping, it won’t tell you when your plants are ready. Plants don’t follow calendars so they don’t care what week you think they are in. All the plant cares about is staying healthy so that I can reach it peak potential.
