Enough lighting?

i finally found a store near about an hour away from me that sells CFL's.
Highest they have are 200watt
I'm wondering if 1 red spectrum and 1 blue spectrum 200 watt will be good enough for 2-3 plants.
or should i get 3 CFL's?

its in a 2x3x10 closest.. what do you all think?

i would get 3 1 blue and 2 red a friend of mine has a set up consisting of 3x125w red cfl's and they are looking ok a bit stretchy and he vegged using 1x125w blue cfl but if you are planning to spend money on 3 clf i would look it to a 400w HID light set-up

With CFL's, more light the better,,,so my advise to you is, get as many and you can afford, you cant have to many cfl lights

it's only the heat that might be a problem, you have 10' head room and hid lights have a better penetration so the lower leaves will get more and better light if heat is an issue then go cfl

i have a mix of lights in my grow tent it is 3'x3'x4'6"
the lights are set up in one square reflector
on the left i have 150w hps
mid 125w red cfl
right 150w m/h
i am 7 weeks in to flowering
next grow i am looking at putting a 400w or a 600w hid into that area

icic, i can leave all 3 lights on during veg and flowering right? or would red spectrum's not have any affect on the plants during veg stage?

ok ok , well ill have to see if i can afford 3...
these lights are like 100 usd each at 200watts in usa. :(
and then the reflector is 80usd

very very expensive to get this started :(

you could start off with one light 200w blue over 3 or 4 plants for the first 2 to 3 weeks maybe for the whole of the veg cycle, mine started life under a 125w blue envirolight for the first 2 weeks then i added a 150w m/h as my plants got bigger then when i switched to flowering i added the 150w hps and changed the blue cfl to a red and i would veg again under clf's they are good for that.
hope this helps, it would spread the cost of the lights over a few weeks, also look into building your own reflector mine i built using stuff i had lying around it holds all 3 of my lights, the only thing i paid for was 1meter of mylar

if you are going a SCROG or mini grow in a stealth cab then it might be ok but as for full size plants you will need a 400w+ light you might be able to grow 2 under that light in a highly reflective area but they would stretch

yes blow4life is right but most do with what they can

the cfl that theinfected wants are rated at 13.500 lumens thats 3x 13500 = 40500 divide that by the foot squared 6 = 6750 lumens per square foot it is quite good as most people grow with a 400w to 600w in areas of 9 foot squared thats 4700lumen to 7100lumen

i have grown using about 7000 lumens per square foot and i have quite a good result he will have to keep them close to the plants after the seedling stage of the growth and i would say SCROG or LST to maximize the light he will have

also on ebay and here in england we can get 250w cfl's (envirolites) this would also help raise lumens to 7500 per square foot
