Ensuring femlae plants outdoors.

I have read that when growing indoors you can ensure a female plant by the hours of light you give a plant. I was wondering if it was possible to do the same outdoors. Let's say you have have three or four potential grow spots and they all get varied hours of sun (between 7 and 12) To get a female plant would you give it more or less or is it a complete crapshoot growing outdoors.
I only have one plant growing now and I'm going to transplant asap unless advised that I hsould keep it indoors.

not true indoors or outdoors, a bad light cycle, like inturupting the dark can stunt and stress plants into going hermie or male though. otherwise buy feminised seeds

i would keep it outdoors and that way you can keep its light cycles consistent and that will increase the chance of it being a female

Since it is my only one if it does come out male I'm gonna make hash and I guess start the cycle over indoors.
But it goes in tomorrow morning whenever I awaken from my slumber. Here's to hoping.
