any1 get a email from riu sayin they need to re confirm email address because of new newsletter and to offer discounts off online stores, sounded bit dodgy so didnt click link. sent mods msg,didnt reply. also it says if i dont reconfirm they will shut down account?? halp

Lookin good mate, i use those reflecters, they ain't bad realy easy to keep the heat off. I loled when i saw that powerplant sign on that 250 ballest. Excelent for seedlings and rooted clones as you already know.

Hey everyone,

Well i think i have come across my first problem. And its down to the new cooltube lights.

Ok so the way i set my lights up was exactly the same positioning as last time i grew, the problem is that because im using the cooltubes im loosing quite alot of light. I think to fix the problem in the long term i would have to get rid of all the lights and purchase some new cool tube reflectors like in the pic below. ( next grow for definite ) anyway for this grow i'm going to add the 4 x125w CFL's to the corners of the room to help with light distribution, and just see how well i can grow out the scrog and sog. I may at some point revert back to my old reflectors when the colder ambient temperature of winter arrives...

To be honest dan i would'nt but that magnum light. Over priced gimicky thing. I reckon its the same as this but a different design. if anything this is cooler because of the larger air gap between the glass and bulb.
I never thought i would give ya a tip.
I may be completely wrong though, look at some reviews.
Although beware of the fact some people can be in denile that they wasted their money!

m8 i had same probs with cool tubes cool shades are ten times better but for a tempory fix unscrew the bolts at top of cool tube and the light fitting and remove the inner shade on cooltube then take a normal dutch shade or reflective sheeting and bolt with same bolts u took out the top and at one end in to the light fitting if u get me so end result u should have a totaly clear cooltube with light fitting in side and a shade bolted to top = ten times more light spread had this problem and went and bought two cool shades and compared the coolshade to cooltube after i alterd cooltube and tbh i think i like modified cooltube is better as they weight less cause beleive me the cool shades way a feking tone!

Knowing how to grow weed dosn't mean you know about the best reflecter. I know shit about reflecters. What i do know is that that thing is expensive as hell. That was the point.
More air flow is more to the point. ventilation fans don't use a lot a electric,

Hey pal, im with you on what you say about reflectors. I guess that when i did my research on the cooltube reflectors that It does not state in any description anywhere that your going to loose so much light. They just bang on about heat within the grow room. Now as i just went ahead and purchased the 2 cooltube, without giving the cooltube reflectors a second glance was a school boy error. Im thinking now that im going to revert back to my old reflectors and use them for the SOG. Its a bind as it means more sorting out in there. But at least i can sell the cooltubes back on and use the money to go towards other equipment....

I think i have my ventilation dialed in to the very best.....

I thought your ventilation was the best. Its the best grow op i know. I just hate greedy hydroponic companys, You have to admit cooltubes seem a good idea, just astronomically expensive. PEACE

Hi everyone. Its been a busy few days for me.

I have potted on all of the clones. 120 in total. This took me the best part of sunday afternoon.

There all standing around the 10 cm mark. I gave them all there very first feed of half strength CANNA products, as i no longer needed to feed with CANNA start. Im going to give them 2 days to settle in to there new pots then I'm flowering 12/12 the hole room.

And as you can see the scroged mothers have exploded with growth. I will have to rearrange some of the branches before 12/12. Im also going to take up some of the undergrowth so they have better air flow. Im giving them all a spray of spinosad this evening... ( can never be too cautious ). I will also be spraying with UMPH power for lost minerals...

The CFL light that is just hanging there in the pic is because I'm just starting to fit them to the room, once fully installed i will post pics. And also as can be seen in pics are my old reflectors from my last grow. I have used these for the SOG. The light distribution is now perfect. And because the outside temp's have dropped the room temps are also perfect....

So not long now until the really exciting part begins.
