Pretending that it hasnt already been proven to both work and be popular with people is ignoring fact.

The people of Mass. have the highest rate of insured people in the country. They also favor the program at a rate of around 3/1. It isnt perfect but its better than we have or anything at all offered up by Republicans.

If someone comes up with a better system id support that over "Obamacare." Until then ill support improvement over stagnation.

Now I don't know about this bill but you can most certainly go to jail for not paying most government fines and or tax.

So, the argument I'm hearing is that millions will receive "free" healthcare while others still have to pay for their own. I'm also hearing that the crucial "mandate"' "tax", whatever you call it that was so crucial to funding the entire program doesn't have to paid at all. Well, isn't that just glorious. I guess that's why they now acknowledge that this will cost us at least $2.2 trillion over the next ten years. And I'm sure the actual cost will spiral out of control to the point we would celebrate if it were only $2.2 trillion. Just like EVERY other government social program has always done.

UB, your arguments are only cementing the fact this will be a disaster. But, that's really the point isn't it? Once the program blossoms into it's full nightmarish, economy crippling potential, that's when the single-payer solution will be offered as the only salvation. And the public will embrace it out of fear and the thought of losing their shiny, new entitlement.

It's quite brilliant, if not blatantly obvious. I mean, I've only heard about a dozen Democrat Senators and Congressman say as much.

This bill is going to hurt the $7.25 to $10.00 wage earners the most, further widening the gap. This will target chain stores and restaurants the most so gloat all you want, a bad liberal bill is just as bad as a bad conservative one. In the last three years I have witness a hamburger and fries go from a cool 5bucks to whopping 8 bucks. So lets just push for a 10 it will be much easier that way right?

while usually not giving a fuck what the shills have say on the right or left, i am curious...if you do not pay, what will happen? there has to a consequence right? the law puts it in your face that it has teeth, submit or be removed from society, i read you cant go to jail for not paying, you will get a fine..but if you cant pay the fine, what happens? if you cant pay the fine for not paying the fine, then what happens? is it like when you get speeding ticket? pay or lose your license type deal? or is it like it gets taken out of your check every pay period like fica and ss?

Being uninsured in college was so cool, I really hope my future kids can experience that too while their college costs spiral out of control. Fuck this Obama care letting me keep em on till they're 26. They gotta live life dangerously, just like I did.
