Equipment needed for grow (Have box/lights/fans already)

I prefer the cloth pots (like smart pots) for soil. You can use one of those reusable bags from the grocery, just fold or cut it down so its not to tall and put some tray under it for run off. The walmart bags work fine.

Hey thats a good idea! What do you think the ideal height should be 4-5 inches? I think im gonna buy my own fabric and make my own bag

Needs to be pretty short since you do not have much headroom. 4-5 is probably about right.

I prefer normal pots, but in this case a fabric makes perfect sense, just get a bigger one and roll the sides down to the 5-6" height. I draw the line on DIY before making my own pots, going to spin the thread too? LOL, just kidding

Do you have a wall calendar to keep track of time. Maybe a stopwatch to keep track of shorter periods of time and a notebook to write down your thoughts.

haha, yea im going to get the biggest square pot bag that will fit into my box then just roll/cut it down!

I'm curious what the walmart bag is made of, including dyes. Would work for growing something not to be consumed, but would want to be sure before using for weed or food crops.
